Hi, all. After having a blast with Hordes, thought I'd give Warmachine a try. Local tourney has a 750pt Steamroller next weekend, so I worked up a list. Any help/advice would be great.

4x Deathrippers

4x Defilers

4x Nightwretches

2x Stalkers

1x Machinewraith

1x Denegra

1x Scarlock

=749pts

Is this a good, fun list? Or will I get SLAUGHTERED?? Please help!!

I'd go with two casters at 740 points. And the 750 point level is specifically when you can use Epic so I would suggest one. Epic Asphyxious is a good idea.

The list you have has waaaay too many Jacks for Denegra to do anything with. Remember that you need to put focus on a jack to get any real use out of it and with 14 jacks you have less than a focus point each. You'd get slaughtered.

Add another caster and then perhaps add some troops and perhaps a Pistol Wraith or two.

In Apotheosis, the rule for 750 points is 1 warcaster. Is it different for Steamroller?

Nope. Only the one. So I chose Denegra (with a Skarlock).

Also, my thought was to get a large number of arc nodes and heavier damage units out there. Also, the fact they come 2 to a pack is only frosting.

Indeed it is still is only one Caster at 750.

That said the comments I made still apply. You don't have enough focus to get the most out of those Jacks. You'll need some troops to make sure that you don't get flooded by your opponent's troops. Especailly if you play a Menoth player.

Bile Thralls and Mechanithralls are probably a good addition. As is some Bane Thralls.
