In this day and age of hyper-competitive lists - how does this look? Viable? I know it will get rolled by some armies probably hard, but can it compete in a semi-competitive environment?
The idea is to have the LSS Scouts get into position on T1 to help the VV land without scatter, so they can assault on that turn. They will have Shrouded too, helping them some against nastier Overwatch. I have at least three Drop Pods on T1 automatically, plus a 4+ to bring in the other two. So there is a good chance most, if not all, of my army will deploy on T1. Loads of Grav to help chew up nasty stuff, with at least one dedicated Melta squad to shoot up stuff that might benefit from the 2d6 and the AP1. ISM present because why not? He can split off with the Grav-Gun and shoot one unit while the GC shoots another. 14 total ObjSec units, btw. Not too shabby.
Thoughts? Ideas?

You can add a Cataphractii Terminator Captain under the Command choice (gotta give up points elsewhere) and join him to the Devastators to give them Relentless. You need to drop down to 8 Devastators. Also, IIRC, a Cherub may be worthwhile.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby. |

Doesn't seem worth it, plus I really hate how abusive that is.

Abusive? To each their own. Buffing units with USR is extremely significant in 7th edition. This unit gives 20 shots, 5 which are BS5 and a Cherub to reroll another model. However, I also used the Pinion Demi Company so I had Scouts granting Ignore Cover as well as Scout Biker Sergeants with Locator Beacons. This is what I've used to first turn kill Wraithknights on the drop. All depends on what you tend to play against.

Yes, abusive. Clearly not the intent of the rule. I enjoy strong lists, but that is just over-the-top. And Pinion is all well and good, but it doesn't seem worth losing Obj Sec across the board.

Any other input to make this list hold up to the more competitive lists out there?
