So, I know we don't know what the new Kill Team rules will be, yet. But, based on the pre-built Kill Teams that GW has up on their website, it looks like they will be fairly similar to the current Kill Team rules. Please keep in mind that I don't have any models for either of these Kill Teams yet (either already have them set aside with different weapon choices to be painted for another formation or just don't own them as I only recently started collecting Guard), so I'll be buying them and assembling them tomorrow in hopes of playing a game or two (maybe more) over the weekend. The latter of the two you might notice as it was one of the ones that GW had up on their website for a while:

+++ 40K IG Kill Team - Vets (200) +++

Veterans (200pts) [Demolitions, Grenadiers, Krak Grenades for Squad, 3x Veteran w/ Grenade Launcher, 6x Veteran w/ Lasgun]
··Chimera [Dozer Blade, Heavy Flamer, Multi-laser]
··Veteran Sergeant [Close Combat Weapon, Laspistol]

OR

+++ 40K IG Kill Team - Stormies (195) +++

Militarum Tempestus Platoon (195pts)
··Militarum Tempestus Scions [2x Tempestus Scion, Tempestus Scion w/ Hot-shot Volley Gun, Tempestus Scion w/ Plasma Gun]
····Taurox Prime [Taurox Missile Launcher, Twin-linked Autocannon]
····Tempestor [Close Combat Weapon, Hot-shot Laspistol]

As always, constructive criticism and advice is welcome

Thanks in advance

I'd consider the following for your veterans list:

Drop the Demolitions off of the Veterans, and also drop frag grenades. That there nets you a solid 40 points to play with. You've still got the 3 grenade launchers to chuck krak grenades at range and they have frags on them by default.

Drop the dozer blade off the chimera. That brings points saved to 45.

Use saved points to bring in an Armored Sentinel. Even stock, you can enjoy a second miultilaser.

The last few points you can spend a coupe of different ways. Give your sergeant a meltabomb, or my preferred option, upgrade the gun on the Armored Sentinel to an autocannon.
Make the Sentinel a specialist, and master craft the autocannon for decent odds of getting at least one, and hopefully both shots to hit most turns.

Just my advice on that. Hope it helps. Take it easy.

You don't know me son, so I'll explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.
