So, heres my 2k list ive put together. Any ideas/comments welcome! (this works out to 2001, we play +/- 5 points in our local group)

Im bringing a Craftworlds Warhost and a CAD formation.

Craftworlds Warhost

Windrider Host: (564 points)

-Skyrunner Farseer w/ Singing spear and The Spirit Stone of Anath'lan - 135 points
-Skyrunner Warlock - 50 points
- 4x Windriders w/ Scatter lasers - 108 points
- 4x Windriders w/ Scatter lasers - 108 points

-Vyper w/ Eldar Missile Launcher - 55 points

Aspect Host (316 Points)

- 5 x Swooping hawks and Swooping hawks Exarch - 106 points
- 4 x Warpspiders and Warpspider Exarch - 105 points

Wraith Constructs (325 Points)
WraithKnight w/ 2x heavy wraith cannon and 2x Scatter lasers - 325 points

Combined Arms Detachment

HQ:
1 x Warlock - 35 Points

Troops:
5x Dire Avengers and Dire Avenger Exarch
Wave serpent w/ Twinlinked Scatter lasers - 203 points

5x Dire Avengers and Dire Avenger Exarch
Wave serpent w/ Twinlinked Scatter lasers - 203 points

Heavy Support
Vauls Wrath Battery w/ Shadow Weaver - 30 Points

The plan is for it to be a relativley strong list but include units other than just spamming Scat Bikes and WK's. (whilst still including them, i AM an eldar player after all.)

The WK's should draw a good portion of fire whilst dealing with the heavys my opponent will bring (He plays tyranids and loves Big MC's etc, i wouldnt be suprised to see a bio-titan fielded)
Scat bikes can deal a good amount of pain whilst also capping objectives easily

The swooping hawks are a great distraction unit ive found, dropping them into the backfield and grenade packing something (large blast due to 6 models) tends to distract the enemy into making silly decisions.

Warpspiders because, well, warpspiders.

The Dire avengers ive thrown in to be a bit fluffy, plus they unlock the serpents which i like to play. T/L scat lasers on the serpents are always a good bet too i find.

As it stands the only objective secure troops are the two units of Dire Avengers in the serpents. This is bad news on many missions. You can build almost the same list without using a Windrider Host, using two CADs, which will give you the benefit of objective secure jetbikes.

Now regarding your units selection.

-Make the bikes 4 units of 3 bikes each. Same points more efficient.
-Drop the viper. It is nice to have but most of the time it under performs. On the other hand consider getting a Hornet or two since they are really effective. (I can't say enough good things about them .)
-Swooping Hawks got a nerf with the new rules for grenades. They are there for the template but other than that they are fragile and strive to make their points back. I would swap them for another unit of spiders.
-Wraithknights. You can't go wrong with two knights but don't expect to make friends while playing both of them . One of them needs to be armed for melee and he can keep one scatter laser and the other needs to be armed with two wraithcannons and remove the scatter lasers. One of them acts as a bumper for melee units and the other targets high cost units (tanks or MC preferably) on your opponents army with D shots.
-A single Warlock is bliah so consider adding a second farseer on bike.
-Dire Avengers. Five of them ain't gonna have an impact on shooting or assault . My suggestion is boost one unit to ten with an exarch remove the other and use the rest of the points to add some more bikes .
- Shadow Weaver. Well it sucks . But I have good news for you. Upgrade the battery to a D cannon and add a second one (you have saved enough points till now. Place them in the middle of the table out of LOS and in cover and watch your opponent struggle with a huge 24" circle no enter zone you have created. I always have fun with them .

Other units to consider are Hemlocks and shinning spears. Two hemlocks are a major headache for anything on the table since shriek and two D small blasts can cause a lot of mayhem.
I have great success using Shinning Spears. A unit of 3 plus the exarch joined by the farseer and an autarch on bike. Autarch has banshee mask and Laser lance. This gives the following. A fast moving assault squad that has ap3 str6 weapons on the charge plus an autarch with ap2 str8 with no overwatch, 4+ cover all the time, with skilled rider. Their weapons have the lance rule and the exarch rerolls failed armor penetration rolls, so they will go through a land raider in one charge. They have skilled rider for +3 cover when jinking and if the farseer rolls fortune they are pretty resilient. They act as a counter assault unit and they are able to hunt armor and mostrous creatures with ease.

Both of the above choises require to modify your list so I mentioned them as food for thought. Keep in mind that your list isn't a "casual" eldar list but a quite competitive one.

Happy to hear your thoughts and questions .

Got milk?

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

PM me if you are interested in Commission work.

I didnt see this advice before my game today.

I should have metnioned, this was a 2v2 game, i was allied with a space marines player who was bringing a good amount of OBSEC so wasnt a huge priority for me. we faced off against a nasty set of tyranid lists, so 4k worth of nids all up, including a harridin titan and a ton of flyers!

As to the reccomendations, to take a windrider host and have a battlebound army, i have to take the 3 squads of windriders, i cant take an extra squad, and the vyper is also a required unit(bloody tax unit, i hate vypers, although this game it did contribute by putting the final wound on one of the enemey players warlord flyrant!!), as are the warlock and farseer. I didnt include more warlocks as i dont focus too much on the psychic phase, i basically cast guide and thats about it haha.

The swooping hawks are a great distraction and worked well. They dropped in the back of the enemy deployment at the start of our turn two, stomped a unit of gaunts off an objective with a combination of the grenade pack and bazillions of s3 shots and romped in to grab the VP, they hung on in there, took a bit of fire but nothing major. One causalty sustained, not bad for such fragile troops!

The shadow weaver was a way to get a long range pesky template in. It was ok, but i think the D-cannon would have been a better bet as suggested. The good thing was the shadow weaver was wounding against initiative due to the monofilamint special rule, so got in a cheeky wound or two against a swarmlord and his guards!

The bikes absolutley wrecked. The only unit to cop any real attention was the one with my warlord in it (farseer) and it only sustained 2 losses. The other bikes cruised round shooting things in the face and capping objectives as required. i think my opponents kept forgetting how much damage 16 strength 6 shots can cause, even if they are only ap6.

The dire avengers really acheived nothing, i should have dropped them and ran a few more bikes in the squads like you say. They did manage to tie up the swarmlord in CC for a couple of turns (thanks to the exarchs invun save) after getting forced out of their wrecked waveserpent.

The scatter lasers and d cannons on the knights couldnt have been betterd. the scatter lasers were responsible for a lot of damage output, and inflicted heavy wounds on several flyers, forcing a few to the ground where they got finished off in CC by my marine allies. The d-cannons wrere great for picking off the darn back field tyrranofex's that were packing s10 ap2 assault 2 weapons and then moved onto tervigons and finished up blasting some zoanthropes into nothingness. I lost both knights in the end as they drew an entire games worth of heat from the harridan, but they ceratinly returned their points.

Warpspiders did their thing, they always seem so dependable.

All up, i think the list did very well but definitly could have been better. However, it did result in a great game and thats the main thing. 8000 points on the board, it was huge! (Our alliance won 20-14 by the way thanks to some clever point scoring on the last 2 turns and a huge number of kills XD)
