I've decided to get back into 40k with a small daemons list. So here it is:
Be'lakor
Herald of nurgle with palaquin
10 plaguebearers with plagueridden and plague banner
10 plaguebearers with plagueridden and plague banner
6 screamers of tzeentch
6 screamers of tzeentch
This list is based off what I read about be'lakor's backstory (hence the mix of nurgle of tzeentch). Any comments on the list or suggestions on how to improve it are welcome. This isn't a competitive list. Cheers in advance

If you make the Screamers one unit of 8, you could add a mastery lvl to the NHerald and add a Tzherald lvl 3 w/ disc and exalted reward for the grimoire of true names to attach to Screamers and make then Nigh unkillable(better with fatey but if not going super competitive than should be fun)

At 1000 pts you do NOT need Screamer Star. 2x 6 Screamers is perfect for this points level, ESPECIALLY since they will have a 2+ re-rollable jink near Belakor who will cast Shrouding. The only thing I don't like about the list are the Troops. 1 unit of PBs with a Herald is nice, but a second unit is a waste. You will get much more mileage by splitting the second unit into 2x 3 Nurglings. The list should look like this: Be'lakor Herald of nurgle with palaquin & Locus of FNP 12 plaguebearers with plagueridden and plague banner 3 Nurglings 3 Nurglings 6 screamers of tzeentch 6 screamers of tzeentch -------------------- The Nurlings have lots of wounds and although they don't do much damage, they can infiltrate on or near an objective. I think you still have points in the list to give both the Herald and Plagueridden lesser rewards so they can have Etherblades (AP2). Making them a tough unit that also has teeth. -

Cheers for the help guys. Can you have two heralds as well as be'lakor? Automatically Appended Next Post: Also, forgot to mention I gave be'lakor fighter ace, was that a good move?

4 Heralds in a CAD can be taken as 1 HQ, so yes you could have Belakor & 2 Heralds, but you only need 1 herald in 1 unit of PBs. If you are reluctant to use Nurlings, don't be. You can easily get 6 Nurgling bases out of 1 box (I actually got 9 out of 1, but it took a bit of cutting & pasting arms). So go buy 1 box of nurglings and 3 spare bases. When you assemble them, don't put all 3 "slabs" of Nurglings on each base. You can put the front 2 "slabs" on each base as they will complete each other, then put the rear 1 "slab" on each of the other bases with some of the spare Nurlings in front of them. You will still have over 10 actual Nurglings per base, which is more than enough to represent 4 wounds/attacks per base. I personally don't think Fighter Ace is worth it for 3 reasons. 1) Belakor is already too darn expensive for 2) a randomly determined bonus that only 1 of is good and 3) Most players don't use whatever supplement Fighter Ace comes with, so you have to have that specific book and explain how you are able to use it. Not worth it IMO -

Cheers for the advice, it's always good to hear a way of avoiding unnecessary spends (especially at gw prices). How about this for a new list?
Be'lakor
Herald of nurgle with palanquin and lesser reward
Herald of tzeentch level 2 on disk with exalted gift
10 plaguebearers with plagueridden and plague banner
3 nurglings
3 nurglings
9 screamers of tzeentch

It's better than your first list, but I think a Screamer death star at 1000pts is either going to be overkill, or get tied up too easily. You are much better off in this small points level having 2x 6 Screamers. That way you can address more targets and avoid so many points getting tied up in 1 unit. You are also able to have more "buffed" Screamers as Shrouding effects all friendly units within 6", rather than only targeting 1 (like Grimiore) I would drop the TZ Herald for the extra Screamers, then buff up the Nurgle Herald with the FNP Locus & ML1
