Armoured Syndicate is BACK!

We ran a Kickstarter in June to launch the miniatures range for our 'Armoured Syndicate' universe and ended up with it not achieving what we thought it should.... so we refunded every backer, have developed a LOAD of new models and fully developed the range into an awesome miniatures based board-game!

Armoured Syndicate is set about 100 years in the future in the global-warming ravaged western US. The corporations have seized control and bought up most of the de-populated west for salvage and prospecting rights. The game is set in the ruins of Las Vegas and sees a small group of Mexican mercenaries and outlaws trying to infiltrate the city to steal certain items on behalf of their underworld backers. On the other side, the corporate landlords are trying to protect their investment and keep the outlaws out.

The game has been written by the legendary Mark Latham (who has worked on many of the biggest games of recent years from Kings of War through the Marvel Universe and DC miniatures games to Sedition Wars, The Walking Dead and others) and is fast paced and features a unique cash-flow system which favours the ruthless businessman, willing to sacrifice his characters when he has to in order to boost his profit margin.


The Kickstarter is due to begin at the end of next week (around Thursday 29th Sept) and we will have the two factions that come in the boxed game along with several add-on characters for those factions AND a complete third faction with extra new scenarios and game-boards that will be added in the stretch-goals.

We've got a few new models coming that no one has seen before and the 3rd faction we are introducing, the 'Vegas Freaks' will be pretty damn cool, with robot-strippers, genetic mutants and their midget Elvis impersonator handlers, robotic theme park characters and more...

Yep.... it is 28mm scale.... we made the mistake (one of a few) on the last Kickstarter to call them '32mm scale' which is the height to the top of the head for a 6ft person.... but they are matched to standard 28mm scale models so yes.... we will be posting photos of them against other standard sized models for comparison so everyone can see the size :-)

Please do It's always helpful to have a handy scale with other more well-known miniatures.

Edit: Those Vegas Freaks look very interesting. Hopefully with so much work behind it, the new KS will run much smoother.

There was nearly 2 years work in it up until the last launch, we've now put a further 3 months of solid work in and had 6 freelancers working their butts off to get all the new models, new box art and goodness knows what else finished in time!

It is now a MUCH more finished and complete product.....

We have made and launched boxed board games before so this won't be our first, we have printing of the boards etc all set up and we are aiming for top quality on everything from the miniatures to the tokens and cards....


I do think this is going to be a much bigger campaign than the last try!

Hi all!


Well, we ran our last pre-Kickstarter play-testing session yesterday, hosted by the awesome guys at Southampton Sluggaz. The game is now playing absolutely great, we managed to solve the last balance issue with the first scenario whereby the 'Dead Crows' player was able to prevent the 'Dromeda Corp' player from damaging the objective (computer terminal) buy sitting loads of models on top of it who absorbed all the hits :-) We have added the ability for ANY model to get 'Target Priority' and choose their target for two credits per attack rather than the usual 1.

The game is really great fun... fast paced and exciting whilst keeping that cool and unique tactical edge offered by the 'cash-flow' system we have developed.... here's some images from the last few test games...

Also.... we can finally reveal the two factions for the core-game.

These ten premium-quality miniatures from two factions will come with the boxed game and there will be a further 4 models available immediately in the campaign as add-ons... we then have a further 8 miniatures that will be unlocked as stretch goals including models that form a complete third faction for the game complete with new scenarios and game board sections...

So... the core-game factions are:

Dromeda Corporation:
The landlords of Las Vegas, guardians of the ruins of sin-city these corporate enforces use high-tech drones and robot sentinels to protect their investment.

The Dead Crows:
A Mexican mercenary gang with underworld funding who have been tasked with entering the city ruins and 'liberating' some valuable items from ruined casinos, bank vaults and technology companies.

Quick update.... we are just finalising the video and last bits of game art for the campaign so have decided to get those spot on first and delay launch slightly....

Armoured Syndicate should hit Kickstarter mid next week all being well. Either the 12th or 13th of October.

We've unlocked several really cool new miniatures now including 'D1X1E' the robot stripper and RoRo Rabbit, the giant theme park character robot!

Lots more cool stuff to add over the next few days including a Kickstarter exclusive model we'll be adding free to all the 'Director' level pledges which we will reveal tomorrow!

In the mean time... we have a sneak peek at a figure coming shortly after that.... 'The Strong Man'!

Dromeda Pharmaceuticals' hidden test program to try and create a super-soldier didn't go to plan.... taking inmates from Nevada penitentiaries, with the promise of early release for their cooperation with 'drug trials' the company ended up creating a LOT of 'rejects'. Those that survived were sold off to the casinos and theme parks for their 'freak shows'.... and when those casinos and theme parks were shut down... the 'exhibits' were left to rot.... but at least one of them has survived... and BOY is he mad....

A full reveal of this awesome miniature coming later tonight!
