Forge World has been given control of the entire game.

I want all of the Hobbit new dwarves coming, and finally buy some grimhammers (since those aren't going on sale/discount anywhere anytime soon.

AFAIK, anything new is coming from FW. IIRC so far we've seen photos or renderings of Dain, Iron Hills Dwarfs, and Gundabad Bodyguards (oversized Orcs).

This is great, Dain was probably my favorite character in the third Hobbit movie!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

Man, I miss LoTR. Haven't played that game in ages - cool to see some new stuff coming out!

Although I was way more enthusiastic about the LoTR movies than I was about the Hobbit films - it'd be a pipe dream to see some of the stuff from the ICE MERP game make it into miniature form.

*sigh*

A guy can dream, right?

I just saw an unboxing video on the Dain figures done by a pair of players who had bought them at a GBHL event in the UK. They said the Dain set (mounted and on foot) was 40£ (probably $50US at the current exchange rate) which was more than I was hoping, but the Iron Hills Dwarf box was the same price for 12 figures, which I was actually not bad considering that the Finecast Gundabad Orcs from GW are $100US for the same number.

Mithril does make a pretty comprehensive line of Middle Earth miniatures, however they are 32mm and I don't think they would fit well along side the 28mm GW LOTR/Hobbit line.

I can get you some pics of the ones in my armies if you would like, I have found them not too bad difference.

Really? I have not seen any in person for a long time, but my recollection was that they were significantly larger. Still, I was never a big fan of their sculpting. YMMV, of course.

GW has been slowly re-releasing OOP minis for a while now. Gandalf the Grey mounted just got re-released, as did the Shade.
