My gaming group and i are playing a campaign starting out with smaller battles and growing bigger, where our warlords get upgrades after each battle. Here is my 500pt list:

Armoured Task Force
Predator - H/B sponsons 95
Predator - H/B sponsons 95
Whirlwind 65
Techmarine 65

Iron Guardians
5 Tactical Marines - flamer 75
Dreadnought 105

500pts
My plan is to surround the techmarine and tactical squad with the vehicles and let the preds do most of the work. What do you guys think?

I think that it is a fine list for 500 points I think that I would drop the whirlwind In favor of more tactical marines

I need the whirlwind for the armoured task force, without it i cant use the detachment.

Can you adjust whatever is the "Iron Guardians"?

The reason I say that, is:

- You could put the techmarine on a bike (later upgrading him to have a servo harness, and maybe becoming a captain/chapter master, use other relics, etc.)... bikes are great.

- Also, you could then drop the tacticals for bikers (again, later could become his command squad, etc.)

- Drop the dread just to make this happen.. you can always add him back in later. That's what i'd try.

Iron guardians is an auxiliary choice for the detachment; its from The Angels of Death supplement. A techmarine on a bike would be great, but the bonuses from the detachment are awesome and outway a small buke squad
