The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

You know that the first one was amazing, right? So I can assume you meant that this one will be dialed past eleven, straight onto intfinite awesomeness?
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

It was a fun summer film. Amazing-absolutely not.
Amazing: Raiders of the Lost Ark, African Queen, Bullitt,

Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

I'm kinda ambivalent about Kurt as Ego. Reducing him to mocap would be a sad use of his abilities as a actor for other actors to play off. And if he were mustachio'd a la Tombstone, it's even better.

Tombstone? Nah, he way surpassed that in The Hateful Eight!

Amazing: Raiders of the Lost Ark, African Queen, Bullitt,
Agree 100%. Fun film. I liked it. But it was very empty-headed and the praise for it was way OTT.
It wasn't even a Whedon film, but it went full Whedon* there at the end with the dance-off.

I mostly meant I don't hold it in the same place in my mind as movies like Raiders or Bullitt. It's not, and should not, ever win any awards and won't be remembered in 20 years unlike the others you've named. But I also can't watch those movies over and over again while painting so it's a bit of a wash for me.

I dunno, I think GotG will still hold its own in 20 years. It won't have stopped being funny and the soundtrack won't have stopped being absolutely amazing.
And dancing groot will still be god damn adorable.

I have a feeling you're talking to a spambot.
"The 75mm gun is firing. The 37mm gun is firing, but is traversed round the wrong way. The Browning is jammed. I am saying "Driver, advance." and the driver, who can't hear me, is reversing. And as I look over the top of the turret and see twelve enemy tanks fifty yards away, someone hands me a cheese sandwich."

I still watch Fifth Element, from 1997. GotG will hold up well in 2037, I think.
I'm sorry did you just say African Queen and Bullitt are not amazing?
