Does anybody know which consul best compliments the Emperors Children?

"That's Warhammer 40,000 where instead of using Victory Points to determine the victor you roll a D6 and compare receipts. Highest total receipts wins. I'm not sure what the D6 is for." - Abadabadoobaddon, on Reciepthammer 40k

"Actually if the PC/console games have thought us anything most of the noise from bolter fire is the firer yelling for the emperor every shot." - Joyboozer, on silenced bolters.

"It's better to just roll a D6 and discount anything I say on a 5+" - NivlacSupreme, on himself and his sanity.

A Legion Champion is fluffy to me, but a Primus Medicae never goes wrong, especially in a large squad of CCW Tacs.

If you can't believe in yourself, believe in me! Believe in the Dakka who believes in you!

A Champion, a duellist, is the most loyal to the lore for Emperor Children. You can equip him with a Paragon blade and a Jump Pack and attach him to a unit of Palatine Blades.

Chanpions are the obvious choice, especially as they are required for the Maru Skara RoW.
The Primus Medicae is another option (Fabius Bile, anyone?).

"You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks

ooh. I forgot about Fabulous Bill. Although from what I can see primus medicaes are better in terminator squads and that just wouldn't feel right

While a champion is a very fluffy choice, many people seem to forget that every legion had a bit of everything so you could take whatever you wanted really.

For Khaela Mensha Khaine
Victorus aut Mortis
For the Emperor and Sanguinius!

Yes, you can take whatever you want, but the Legion Champion is actually an amazing choice for Emperor's Children.

And pretty much all the support consuls will find a place in some army lists.

2000pt Eldar - THIRD REPAINT (I must hate myself)
750pt Dark Eldar - all painted
1850pt Chaos Space Marines - all painted

40K's no fun when you have a plan!

The emperors children did not make use of librarians, though they supported Magnus at the council of nikea, they saw being a psyker as an imperfection, so it wasn't allowed

Why did they support him, then ?

Champion or a Chaplain.

Lucius VS Charmosian exemplify that particular cointoss.

In terms of playing the game, its hard to argue that a chaplain isnt a very strong force multiplier for the Emperors Children. Phoenix Guard greatly benefit from them. As do the Palatine Blades.
