Hi Dakka it's been awhile
Me and my friend want to do 6mm Gothic war and we've been looking for rules. I've seen several LADG battle reports on this forum and after confirming that it has lists for Italian Ostrogoth's and Justinian Romans its one of our potential picks. My first question is. Does LADG work well for 6mm?
My second question is about basing, I really don't know anything about it. We plan on using Baccus line of 6mm so do we need to get different sized bases to work in LADG?

This may be poor response, but hopefully it will bait a guru into response. BUT it is my understanding that LADG uses "Base Widths" to measure range, movement, etc. Therefore, I suspect that if you two base uniformly LADG will work seamlesly. Other ancients like Warlord's 28mm Historical Sets would require math but still probablly useable.

As doktor_g said, LADG uses base widths for measurement. Your best bet is to just use 15mm basing with 6mm models. With Baccus, you can probably fit 4 strips of infantry on a 40x20 base, so a unit of medium/heavy infantry would have 8 strips of infantry (40x40). I think the only other base types you need to worry about are Cavalry (40x30), light infantry (40x20) and commanders (40x40).
