So I am giving Samurai a break for a little bit but I am going to start Napoleonic's. I have just finished a test piece for my Warlord Chosen Men- British 95th Rifles and for those who may remember that is Sharpe's Company from the BBC's Sharpe's Rifles. My friend Jefferson and I are going to start playing Sharpe's Practice a skirmish level Napoleonic's game from Too Fat Lardies. So the great thing is you only 40 to 60 miniatures and I am fine with that. I really don't need an other great massive painting challenge like the Samurai. After all that I have painted for the Samurai I am still not half way finished with them.
As always Best of Luck on your future projects.

The only poorly painted miniature is the one that is not painted.

Looks great to me! Would like to see a group shot when they are all painted.

Very nice, better than mine (I chicken out of painting eyes for one thing), very nice models - those bases are probably ok for Sharp Practice skirmishers, but if you do rank and file troops go for something smaller (mine are on 1p coins).

Its a very fun little game though, just take you time to work through it, stuff makes sense once you read it a few times but only seems to click when you actually play it.

Oh yes, a brick of about 18 riflemen, with a couple of officers (one to command, one to rally shock - Sharp & Harper do well here) is evil to try and face, my French are used to having their legs handed to them by such blocks..

Thank you very much but I am only going to play skirmish level games with my Napoleonic's. My rank and file wargaming will be my Samurai.

Damn, he looks great!

I've been trying to find a good 1:1 scale skirmish game for Napoleonics. Sharpe's is fun but not quite 1:1 skirmish, two dozen figures per side kind of skirmish battles. Have you encountered any ruleset for that in your research? Barring any ideas, I was thinking of Legends of the Old West but would prefer something that is specific to Naps.

Chosen Men from Osprey will be out in December, but I do not know the scale. It is supposed to be Napoleanic Skirmish.

Unfortunately it is still a unit-scale game. "formations are broken down into small groups of up to a dozen men"

I have been recommend "95th" by Two Hour Wargames, a scenario book for their Chain Reaction system. It is a 1:1 skirmish system for anyone else looking for individual model skirmish as I am. http://www.twohourwargames.com/95th.html
