Okay, This may be a long shot. But I've been looking at google images of them, and I really love the sheer amount of (albeit silly) character Orks had way back when in the 'Rogue Trader' days. I have decided I want to take my warlords head off to replace it with the most characterful Ork head I can find. So... where do I look?

Just be careful, there has been a lot of scale creep since then.

And are you looking for the old space orc plastics? Or metal ones and doing some carving?

I would start with Stuff of Legends

http://www.solegends.com/citadel/

Find the exact model you are looking for; then post in the Dakka Swap shop or Bartertown for the figure you are wanting.

Otherwise you and also look on eBay for it.

@Genoside07: Okay, cool!

@Nevelon: I don't care, either way works. Just something that, like you mentioned about the scale creepage, will fit my warlord.

Depending on whether your set on old timey heads, you might want to consider some of the other manufacturers:

For Example:

https://puppetswar.eu/category.php?id_category=276

From GW theres also the Goff Rockers from GW although getting those heads off looks like it would be a pain

You can often find the old rt era plastic orks for fairly cheap on ebay. One of the sellers I go to for used models typically has them.

Just quickly glancing shows he has few listings, some with heads already detached, with the Mohawks and flat tops and caps...

Unfortunately, He doesn't have a name. But the fourth on over on this page:

Anyone have any reference to size? I tried to measure him on my screen with a base and my finger, It IS much smaller then my warlords current head. But I love his expression, and it is actually on the larger end of what I might find from his era, so I think I'll go for it.

EDIT: I have another question: Seeing as how I have no money ATM, What's a worthy trade for this mini? I'm kinda new to the OOP market...

That is a "painboy" and just remember to reference OOP and rogue trader..picture helps a ton

As for scale, he will be smaller but not bad; GW has always had scale creep..

As for trade value.. shouldn't be that bad.. less than $20 I would think.. trouble is
trying to match up what the other person is wanting in trade.. also you will find traders that
think their stuff is gold and yours is trash no matter what it is.. but most people are
awesome and just want to strike a deal

Automatically Appended Next Post:
To be more correct term.. Ork Pain Boyz is the model type..

Here is what the price someone is wanting... but with anything.. asking and getting is two different things

OUCH!! that auction is going for over a hundred bucks!!! Well, I'm not likely to want to spend that much on any one small miniature, and never for something I'm going to carve up!

*Whew*... Sorry for the exclamation marks, I just had no idea it was such a crazy expensive collectible. Anywho, now I'm a lot more amenable to the idea of a different model. Just for clarity, what on that Stuff of Legends site AREN'T super-rare, unreleased collectibles? An unhelmeted ork boy might work, if it's not too small/expensive...

No the model is not super rare.. just out of print for twenty years.. again your going to find people that want top price for something.

You might search for pain boyz because there is an updated version that is plastic and easier to convert than metal.

But also try the dakka swap shop and bartertown just to see.. you never know..

Actually, never mind. It turns out that while that one was expensive, their were others that went for a few dollars. So I went ahead and bought one of those! Thank you for your help guys.

EDIT: Ninja'd. Sorry, I figured wrong.
