Hello there,

I am interested in fleshing out smaller scale 40k games with extra rules/background style stuff to make some really awesome narative style games.
I know HOR Kill team rules and they are pretty great, though I wanted to expand on them slightly. Things such as injury tables (knocking a weapon out of someones hand, winding etc) as well as stuff like 'Dark pasts' and scenarios. Kill team size games, as well as potentially smaller points values for when two rival Inquistorial groups meet for example

I have a few ideas but wondered if anyone was willing to help or put forward some ideas.
Here is some of what I have come up with

Dark Pasts

Anyone may choose to add more depth to their character by picking a Dark Past card.

You have lost those close to you in the unrelenting struggle for survival in the 41st Millenium
Pick a character and roll a D6:
1. You lost a close friend
2. You lost a mentor
3. You lost a family member
4. You lost your entire family
5. Your entire village/town/city was destroyed
6. You are the sole survivor of your homeworld

To find out who was responsible roll a further D6:
The Imperium of Man The Mechanicum The Inquisition The Astra Militarum

Xenos species (Eldar, Necrons, Tyranids, Genestealers, Orks, Dark Eldar
Traitors or Renegades
Chaos
An individual

To find out what effect this has roll a D6:
Hatred
Fear

You are an outlaw

This is just rough and I need some help making it more streamlined as id like to have printouts/cards with things on them for players that also includes a bit of colour text.

Any help or ideasadvice is greatly appreciated, thanks

I'm not going to re-read the lunacy that is the last few pages of this thread, but I'd be very surprised if anyone actually said that. Even that one guy banging on about how relatively difficult it might be for an Inquisitor to acquire power armour, I don't think even that guy said that.

This forum is for rules queries on existing rules.

You want proposed rules or general discussion.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.
