Hate to double post, but can I ask; what did you use for the razor wire? Not FW razor wire is it?

Thanks mtcwalker, i like to take my time with these fellows! razorwire is from a local retailer but its essentially the same as this: http://www.greenstuffworld.com/en/scenery-accessories/241-simulated-model-barbed-wire-razor-wire-industrial-fence-military.html But somewhat thinner.

They are brilliant, well done

It's a bit irritating for you to be that good as someone new to the hobby though

I'll second the irritation that you've just started and this is what you've come up with!

Very nice minis, excellently painted and with great basing. Are they FW Kriegers? If so, I must get some of those myself they look excellent

Looks ace!

I assume you play Warmachine as well and use these as trenchers? I don't think those are legal 40k base sizes

I always thought it was generally ok to step up a base size for modelling purposes.

Guess if people are really strict, but those don't look much bigger than 32mm bases...

I'd have issues with the heavy weapons teams - in 40k you can go bigger, but not smaller 50mm vs 60mm

Thank you all, means a lot!

YnneadwraithMade, yes they are FW models, fantastic detail in them.

Stevefamine, i only play WH40k, mostly with my friends who wont mind me using either FW rules or round lip bases. I have orks with standard bases ill use to play in more official games once i have a proper army list set up. Bases are 30mm and 80mm for the heavy weapons team, i like the extra space for cool details for the base.

I wouldn't sweat it on the base sizes. These look fantastic!

The pen is mightier then the sword, but you must keep a sword handy for when the pen runs out of ink.

Think so as well. These are some great Kriegsmen and the Death rider's horse is especially well done.

Thanks yall! Im glad you like them! Been taking a long break because i need to focus more on my profession.
Properly finished my first Ork thingie, an OOP deff dread, with slight conversions done, like the chainsaw klaw, some tubing for flamethrower, a chain hanging from the chassis and a non stock banner. Ill try to build myself a lightbox so i can take better photos.

Pharcae - About the horse skin, doombull brown as basecoat, nuln oil washes, and highlights with a mix of doombull brown and wild ryder red. Rakhart flesh and screaming skull for the feet and tail. Took me forever tho, i can easily say horses are by far most difficult to paint.

Wow, big, bright and beautiful. That is a very nice konvershun and very well painted. You definitely have your own style. My orks tend to be fairly dark and dingy, but this pops off the screen with colors and contrasts like a comic book.

For being new to the hobby, you paint like someone who's very experienced. I love the grittiness of your DKOK and the almost pulpy comic book look of your Orks. Great stuff!

How do you paint your sandbags on your auto cannon teams? Mine aren't very nice compared to yours!

Great army!
