I have sensors and I rarely use it, I only take it because it's cheap or troopers come with it.

Does anyone find triangulated fire exceptionally useful? Not in theory, does it do well for you?

When, if ever, do you use the auto-reveal?

It all sounds nice, but I seldom have the orders or need.

When my opponent has ariadna and has camo troopers clustered near a sensor unit is about the only time I've used it.

Normally, they just try to stay away from my Aquila guard.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Plenty of reasons to use it. The ubiquitous 16 point sensor bot almost always makes its way into my lists, especially for ITS since it's an FO and when combined with Support Ware it's actually quite the little gunfighter.

Tier 1 is the new Tactical.

Never used the cheapo bot options but I want to try them out now.

With Triangulated Fire, you're almost never going to be able to move into position while whatever you're trying to triangulate has LoF on you. The most "common" situations I've had it be useful in:

-Peeling CC troops off friendlies, you can't hit your own model and there is nothing the engaged model can react with that will matter. Helpful if warband chaff is bogging key models or you got hard to hit CC monsters like Shinobu or Penny hiding in a combat.
Alternatively you could engage an enemy with your own troops and safely snipe the enemy model with the triangulated fire.

-Picking off a killer MSV ARO profile from long range or unexpected directions. Govad links, Intruders etc. Setup a white noise, move the Sensor in place without drawing an ARO and Triangulate Fire.

-Deploying in LoF of camo troops or equivalent to Triangulate on the first turn, potentially comboing with the MSV+White Noise situation. Probably means reserving the Sensor. Not that hot unless it's something that deploys in a non-marker state.

Didn't think of the cc thing. That'll actually be handy, I have a problem with cheap high (20+) cc troopers from Ariadna threatening my asura (cc 18) or assassins jumping her.

It's not ideal, but sometimes move-dodge into LoS then triangulated fire is the only play available against camo or TO camo with cover, if they really need dealing with.

It also occurred to me that my sensor Deva has WIP 21 with the +6, so can auto discover.
