Hello everyone,
About a month ago I finally acted on a long-simmering urge to try my hand at painting GW figures. I've admired them from a distance for a very long time. I did paint a few warmachine figures a couple years ago, but I had a cast on my hand at the time so the results were quite lacking. Now that I was fully healed I decided that I needed a creative outlet. I researched (mostly here) for weeks and then jumped in head-first and picked up an Imperial Knight.

I've never actually played the game but the actual painting is incredibly relaxing and enjoyable for me. I'm excited to post the pics of the finished knight and see what you think.
Thanks for creating an inviting community!

Welcome!

You picked a great (and challenging!) first model, and the Imperial Knight will look awesome once you have it finished.

What sort of color scheme did you decide on for the Knight?

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.

I picked the Taranis theme, but I made a few errors with the transfer stickers that make him look like a very confused knight in terms of house allegiance.

Thanks! It has definitely been a learning experience and it makes me look forward to starting a puny little space marine when he is finished.
