4 games in and I'm loving the mechanics and the strategy of it. As usual, I'm never satisfied..., I wanted to expand on the game. It doesn't lack anything at all, I'm just like this.
Obviously the game, setting, images and concepts are
GW's IP/Copyright. I have not connection to them at all and I'm doing this for personal enjoyment only, perhaps I may even buy more miniatures because of it... I'll host any files and just post mock ups and screen grabs here if the Admins are okay with it?
I'd really like some feedback from the community on this. It's early days and it needs to be tested by more than me.
Wych Cults (V0.3) Follow the standard rules for creating your Gangs and Murder Packs.
Infantry: When not on a vehicle Wyches have a move of 0-6”(on terrain only), an agility of 7 and may make any turn they wish. In addition hits against them receive a +1 kill modifier and all weapons they carry change their arc to “Any”
A Wych is armed with a splinter pistol and a wych blade. Any model may swap their weapons for one of the following; hydra gauntlets (+5pts), razor flails (+5pts) or a shardnet and Impailer (+5pts). The Hekatrix may swap their wych blade for one of the following; agoniser(+5pts), power sword (+5pts).
Vehicles: Wyches may take Jetbitkes, Skyboards or Venoms. All Wyches must either pilot vehicles or be passengers on them.
Leap A Leap is a special attack made by wyches. the Wych launches herself at an opponent or piece of terrain as they fly past them. it can be used to seize a spire or, if they are trully graceful knock an opposing pilot out of their vehicles and take control of them for their murder pack. A Leap has a range of 6" and has a hit roll based on the type of vehicle or scenery they are attempting to get onto. Roll
2D6 and add the Wyches level.
If they fail the roll then the wych missed their target an is now falling to their death. If successful the wych makes an immediate combat attack with the targets agility halved (rounding down). While engaged in this manner the target vehicle may not change speed, turn or make ranged attacks. If the pilot of the target vehicle is killed then the Wych takes control of that vehicle for the rest of the game.
Leaping into a Venom requires the attacking player to roll to see if they leap onto the Venom or into the transport platform
Entangle: A vehicle that has become entangled reduces it agility by half (rounding down). Infantry that is entangled may not move or make attacks against others. Models can free themselves by making a successful hit against an agility of 8+.
The Venom Assault Transport: Fast and powerful the Venom is the transport of choice for Wych cults. It is armed with a Splinter pod in the front arc.
Vehicle Options: The Venom requires a pilot and can carry up to 5 additional passengers in the rear platform. The splinter pod can be replaced with a Splinter Cannon for (+10pts). In addition the Venom can be equipped with bladevanes (+5pts) and/or a pintle mounted Splinter Canon* (+20pts, front and side arcs) and one of the following weapon options; cluster caltrops (+15pts), grav-talon (+5pts)
*Pintle mounted weapons can only be used by transported models. The pilot cannot use it.
Large: Given its size the venom has a Kill Roll modifier of -1
Transport: A venom requires a pilot but can take up to 5 additional models in it's rear platform.
Hitting a Venom: Given the size and the open transport platform attackers have a chance of hitting either. Roll to hit as normal but if successful roll a
D6 and consult the table below to see wether the attack hits the Venom or the passengers. Randomise the hit against the passengers if they are hit. If the Venom does not have any passengers the hit automatically strikes the Venom.
Manoeuvres: Wyches piloting a venom may make the following manoeuvres; Brake Turn, Half Loop, Side Slip, Slash attack (if armed with bladevanes), Grab (passengers only). Wyches on jetbikes or skyboards can make all of the manoeuvres listed for reavers and hellions respectively.
