As a special surprise, here is the very first photo destined for Battlegroup Tobruk!

The book is done and on target for its release date, just a few more pictures to do...

Talking of WW2 releases...

April 2017 - Battlegroup Tobruk
Autumn/Winter 2017 - Battlegroup 'Spring Awakening'
April 2018 - Battlegroup Westwall
Autumn/Winter 2018 - Battlegroup Iwo Jima

Discussion is ongoing for a release date for our first non-WW2 release - Battlegroup NORTHAG.

I want Tobruk for Italians in Battlegroup.... please tell me there are Italians!

Also: I am interested in Mr. Kinrade's Anti-insurgency game as well, but I don't think that will be ready for a while.

I could not find a Battlegroup website. When I went to Iron Fist Publishing's site, it seems that the domain has expired. Anyone know if the company is financially stable?

Hmm, that's just a product listing from a distributor? I was hoping to see an overview of all the different books, product descriptions, maybe a downloads section etc. It's been years since I played BG and was looking for a refresher. I found the official Facebook page, which points back to the website that no longer exists. Not good look for a company to have let their domain expire?

We didn't renew the website... they wanted silly money for it.

We are waiting on a new website with PSC.

Can put the money to better use and until the new website is up, downloads are available in the Battlegroup Facebook Group.

Besides... being only two people, we don't need much to be 'financially viable'... as we have real jobs too.

Were you like going entirely through a third party to register, host, and design your site? You can own it all and do it all in-house for super duper cheap (or hire a fan to put up a wordpress site and pay them in books and models, haha)

But are there plans for an official website with product overviews, demo videos, community resources, downloads, etc, any time soon?

This for me too.

I only relented on TY on a stopgap basis that at some time in the near future I'd be able to use the models for BG NORTHAG.

I'll certainly be buying Tobruk, especially if this makes a Cold War setting more financially viable for the lads.

Oh sure, with a bunch of research I found a FB group and a forum, but the whole point is that there's a huge hole in terms of internet presence. I spent way too long trying to find out some info about this product, that would have been easily obtained if the company bothered to have an official website (excuses aside, which are meaningless to someone trying to find info). I can't imagine what the hundreds if not thousands of other potential customers are thinking when they google or click on another link to the Battlegroup site only to see that it doesn't exist any longer. And I have a familiarity with the product, having played BG Kursk before - I was looking for a larger-scale ruleset for playing early war stuff, and it took much too long to find out what the difference between the free BG rulebook that Wayland is offering and the new revised rulebook in hardcover that just came out. And now even in this thread I see stuff about Cold War BG and I had no idea about any of that, which is even more interesting to me. I suppose you could say I am a customer who wants to know more about the product in order to spend money but is being frustrated by the company's lack of desire to give me the information necessary for them to take my money

Well we did have a website... But I agree JudgeDoug.

They may be excuses, but not wishing to pay a small fortune for renewing website hosting is not meaningless to us. While hosting costs may be nothing to a 'big' company, we are not that, and being two fellas with full time jobs and families, we make do as best we can at present utilising our two Facebook groups and The Guild forum until we can piggy-back off the revamped PSC website when/if it occurs. For the present time we prefer to push our available finances into new books. Its not ideal, but for the present its the course we have taken and for us getting the books out to our player base who have asked for them is what's currently driving us. Hopefully though this year we can direct some cash towards a new website or hope that PSC finally revamp their website so we can host all our Battlegroup downloads and Intro articles there, as well as on Facebook.

Has it worked? Well we seem to be doing ok at present on the third print run of rulebooks. I'd personally love to have the new website up asap... but for us, counting the pennies, I have to work within our means. But yer... as soon as we can it will be back up.

If my real job and family life wasn't so busy... it might happen sooner!

In the meantime, if you need any direction to intro articles, play run-throughs or the like, please feel free to PM me or ask for links to individual items.

The "7th Fleiger Division"... is that supposed to be german? Cause in that case, itd be "Flieger", not "Fleiger". "ie" denotes a long i (similar to english ee), while "ei" denotes a sound closer to english i.

Its really quite annoying that people always get it wrong. It just looks really weird to someone who speaks the language.

Will this be a stand-alone book with everything a newbie would need to play except the minis?

All the books need either the mini rulebook or the new large format rulebook (or the PDF).

I'd happily throw up a wordpress site if ya give me access to your cpanel with links to fb groups and forums and whatnot, just so you have something for any potential customers. Just swap me a couple books in return. I assume you own the domain name, right? I can have a site up in a couple days and we'll change the DNS to point to the new site.
