Heavy Vehicles ignore a result of 1-6 on the Penetrating Damage table if they roll equal to or under their starting Hull Points. (They still lose a Hull Point as normal.) If an Explodes! is rolled, and the Heavy Vehicle rolls under its starting Hull Points, it instead suffers an extra d3 Hull Points of damage. If this reduces it to 0 Hull Points, it explodes as normal.

In addition, Heavy Vehicles, when they explode, explode 2d6" at S6 AP5.

Is heavy vehicle already a classification or would it have to be added, and where's the line drawn? Obviously a LR is heavy and sentinel is light, but what about say, a predator?

You love the T-Rex. Its both a hero and a Villain in the first two movies. It is the "king" of dinosaurs. Its the best. You love your T-rex.
Then comes along the frakking Spinosaurus who kills the T-rex, and the movie says "LOVE THIS NOW! HE IS BETTER" But...in your heart, you love the T-rex, who shouldn't have lost to no stupid Spinosaurus. So you hate the movie. And refuse to love the Spinosaurus because it is a hamfisted attempt at taking what you loved, making it TREX +++ and trying to sell you it.

It already is a classification. I believe the only existing Heavy Vehicles are Land Raiders and Leman Russes, which can use the buff.

So effectively giving them a 4+ save in reverse?

3+ for Land Raiders, 4+ for Russes. (Well, 4-/3-.) But it only applies to the special effects-Stunned, Shaken, etc. Not the Hull Point taken.

I'm not seeing the reason why we need to create a whole new and different 'save but not a save' system.

I've thought about this. I think all glances should only strip a hp on a 4+. I think that basically fixes the problem.

Land Raiders aren't a Heavy vehicle. The current Heavy vehicle rule caps movement to 6" but lets you fire guns as if you were stationary
