This is the first model in my Nurglings unit. The eyes really frustrated me and I'm still not happy with them, but otherwise I think the model turned out okay since I'm just starting up again after a long long break. If anyone has any advice or tips for the next two Nurglings i'm painting it would be greatly appreciated.

It's a touch messy around the eyes, I recommend going back with the original color and cleaning that up. Otherwise, they look pretty good. You've got color variation among the nurglings, so they don't look like a big blob and the shading is good.

The color variety is most definitely good; i think i might be odd in that i just don't like red eyes in general. These guys are very solid and well done though

realism is a lie

One tip ive found with eyes is to use black ink or very thined down black paint .paint the eyes a colour then use a very small wash on the eyes ,then take a dry paint brush and wick away just enough to have your base colour show though

Thank you. The red eyes wasn't my first choice either. I initially tried to go with yellow, but it turned out SO BAD, and red was the only other color I could come up with at the time. I sort of want to try just an off-white with a dark grey dot like I did for my plague drone riders and I may still try and redo it, but I am just worried that I already have so much paint on the eyes that if I add anymore I'll just end up making it worse.

That's a good tip. I will try that on my next model and see how it goes.

Finished all 3 models. Still struggling with the eyes, but otherwise pretty happy with them.
