Subject: Pillars of Eternity II:Deadfire. Funded- 4.5 Million
Just found this one today, looks like Obsidian launched a new campaign for the sequel to PoE. I really enjoyed PoE so I don't mind kicking this game. I just found this now, since they used an alternative platform. I imagine Kickstarter takes less of a cut from this sucker.
EDIT: Fully funded at 4.5 Million, unlocking ship crews. however there are still two months of "slacker-backer" left, I am hoping we hit 4.75 because I really want to see Sea Monsters!

I'm in. This will be my first crowdfunding experience.
Anyone else feel compelled to do another playthrough or three of PoE1 to make different key decisions?

Subject: Pillars of Eternity II:Deadfire (KIckstater "Fig" Campaign) Ends Feb 24th!

It ends the 24th, so you better back it before too long!
The only reason I even found this, was a kick starter update about it. I'm not sure why they didn't use Kickstarter, maybe they take too much off the top?

Fig also allows for actual investment in the project/company. Some people may not want to blow $1000 just for a special shiny copy of the game, a chance to name a character, or a dinner with the devs. But offer them a share in the ownership of it, and that $1000 may be easier for them to spend.

That makes a lot of sense. It is an intreasting platform, but I wonder they would have gotten more funding by using kickstarter? Eitherway, they are doing well!
Speaking of, as of this post there is about 15 hours left in the campaign. It's managed to make nearly 1M more in about two days, so it is blowing up! Lots of excellent stretch goals!
Aaaand, finished at $4.4 million.
And Torment comes out next week.
