I think IA Vol 1 2nd Ed came out before Run moves maybe
Anyone see where it says you can't?

Chimera Movement of 6"
2 Cyclops vehicles disembark, move 6"
2 Cyclops vehicles run average 3.5" ?
5" blast hits another 2.5"

Average range = 30"
Min range = 27.5"
Max range = 32.5"

Nope this is total nonsense. This book isn't that old really and Run moves have always been in the system as far as I know.


They just move as infantry, with the exceptions listed under the remote controll rule.

6"+6"+3,5"+2,5" =18"
So no this thing isn't going to come far. Also why on earth would you want to dedicate an entire chimera for nothing else than transporting a single one use S9 ap3 bomb.
When you could just use an earth shaker cannon and lob and similar blasts to the other side of the field all game long.

ahh, right, sorry, I was originally thinking with the chimera starting at the 12" deployment line how far i could reach on first turn

also you can take 2 in a chimera, takes 5 slots plus the controller, there's an entry for it at the end of the book for the chimera to be dedicated

according to another post i did yesterday, it might be possible to take them in a Trojan support vehicle too if that trojan is an upgrade to a heavy artillery carriage battery, but i think then you'd need to use multiple force org slots for more than one cyclops
