Howdy Y'all,

Do you ever get that moment when a stupid idea lodges in your brain and you can't help it? Well last night one did. I love Titan's. I love everything about them. I love Titan Legions. Masses of gigantic engines of death sweeping forward and around the most massive of their kind.

I love battling - especially complex multi-objective narrative driven battles. But here's my issue. The new scale of AT is too large for me. I have an 8x5 foot gaming table. This is perfect for Halo Fleet Battles, Kill Team and skirmish scale 40/30k. But it ain't great if the models and ranges are larger - there is no room to manoeuvre.

So last night I thought - Well I'll just make my own small scale AT! Then I thought hmm... how small is small? How small can I go? Can I get a large battle onto a small surface? So with that in mind and a couple of mini's from the awesome Forbidden Stars game I made a wee prototype of a Warhound Titan. And I do mean wee.

Standing a mighty 11mm tall this beetle sized pup of death has really inspired me! I have started on a Reaver and planned out two separate Warlord titan designs and an Imperator. May even do so tiny tanks basically for fodder

But first things first build a mulitpart set of components for a second Warhound and make a mold to produce more! Time for the magnifying glass and sculpting tools!

Let me know what you think of this slightly nuts project and I would also love to hear about anybodies own nutty project!

What scale is this? 1:1200?

close to 1:1000 yeah! Bit of a laugh but could be quite fun too!

I am using the fluff size of titan's and keeping them in scale with each other. Rather than the gorgeous FW models that are not in scale with each other - the reaver is too small I think let alone the Warlord

Hmm, go for 1:1200 and you've got a more workable scale for other bits and what not.

I like it!

The small scale works especially well since you could make an entire hive from sprue, like this guy's work:
