This one may just be me forgetting how to play 40k. (it happens from time to time).

Do you have to fall back every time you fail a break test?

The reason I ask this is because of this scenario:

1. Unit get the psychic power "terrify" cast on them and fails their moral test and runs back 2d6.
2. Unit gets shot at and loses 25% in the shooting phase. They are already falling back, so they automatically fail their moral test. Do they have to fall back a 2nd time?

Unless they have some special rule that says otherwise, they have to fall back. The rules say they auomatically fail morale tests, not that they ignore morale tests, so the results of failed morale tests (falling back some more) will apply.

I am fairly certain a unit only falls back once a phase. So, yes, a psychic power and getting shot could potentially make them fall back twice.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Well if for some reason they get stuck in a combat, make their regrouping roll when assaulted, lose the assault but don't get wiped out by a sweeping advance, there's a potential third time in the round (very unlikely, though)

Tank shock in the movement phase means it's possible to do it four times.

So... tank shock in movement, Psychic power in PP, Shot in Shooting phase and then assaulted without being sweeped in assault phase.

I would hate to be the unfortunate unit who is still alive after that. You would of moved a total of 8d6 in one turn..... OUCH

You could even have moved 12d6 if you were a jump unit or some other fast unit type. I hope you were on your opponent's board edge because you just moved 42" on average.

Plus any movement to try to get out of the way of the tank shock. Or tank shocks plural if you have multiple Rhinos or whatever trying to herd the fleeing unit to their board edge.
