So since I found out that I HAVE to summon daemons in a daemon list, which is a playstyle I really hate, I am going to play adeptus mechanicus. So I devised this War Convocation list with Inquisitorial allies because I don't find much interest in running the librarius formation with it for some reason. Any critique? This is intended to be an all-comers list. So which squad would the Ordo Xenos inquisitor be walking with? I assume the Dominus goes with some Kataphrons.

Take Cawl. His relics are really good.

The Arquebus is not a good weapon. Plasma is much scarier.

I'd rather have the Cognis relic on your Priest than the Scryerskull. BS2 against fllyers is very useful, especially when they're TL.

I personally would advise against Cawl in War Convo. The relics are good, one in particular for that matter, just the placement is horrible and you lose your only IC to put it on. It ends up being a waste of the extra 95 points IMO. The only decent placement for said relic ends up being in a 10 man vanguard with 3 plasma.

Elric's other suggestions are good though.
Spend the extra 9 points on the vanguard for that 3rd plasma btw.

You can also take some acolyte units with mystics to bump up your WC count. Plus some backfield with ObSec and crutch Psychic Shrieks are not back. Also gives you a chance at Invisibility.

-Also did a tally on your list (what you have written down) and it came to 1708 for me rather than 1848. So may want to run the math again.

Oh wow you were right. Battlescribe does that I guess. I kind of want to keep the arquebuses purely because I like the models.

Honestly, there is not really a good place for him, not one that he can keep up with. Infiltrators infiltrate and the Ruststalkers are moving 9in each turn. I'd say drop him down to just Servo skulls if you want to keep them or lose him entirely for other options.
Taking the C:IA Coteaz in that detachment grants the elites ObSec, just would have the take the assassin in his own detachment, but that would still be 3 overall. Good for ITC.

He could go with the vanguards. Do rad grenades stack with their -1 toughness? Because that could be quite funny if they charge something.
