Couple of questions here regarding the Daemonhunter Strike Force from imperial agents

Firstly, can I use units from codex grey knights in the detachment presented in the book. I'm inclined to say yes on this, jjst after clarification.

Second is can you take a troops choice and a fast attack choice, or do you only get to use one for the compulsory choice.

You can use the GK book, but the detachment is one Troops OR one Fast Attack, not both.

It's debatable on if you can use units outside of the IA codex to fill detachments in the IA codex. This is something that should be clarified between players or by your TO.

I don't remember any huge debate sweeping the forum, though it never hurts to ask your opponent/ally/TO.

Just looking at the language of the detachment, I'd say RAW you can take anything from Codex: Grey Knights since it's specified as a Grey Knight formation and only requires 1 Troop OR 1 Fast Attack and (not mandatory) a Heavy Support. I could see there being a RAI argument that it should be limited to C:IA, though I would be on the opposite side.

Sounds like OP is planning to take a 35pt fast attack choice of a Rhino so he can field a Dreadknight. Just sayin.

I'm not aware of anything in Codex: Imperial Agents restricting the Detachments to units of the given Faction from Codex: Imperial Agents. It seems to me to be widely accepted that you can bring units from Codex: Grey Knights that are not also in Codex: Imperial Agents.
