Hey, Dakka. I'm making this list to be Semi Competitve- mostly for casual play, but I may occasionally take a modified version to a tournament. This is the version of the list I'll use just for fun, but how would you modify it to make it tournament worthy? Changing up large areas of the army is fine, and any feedback of any kind is good.

Combined Arms Detachment-
Sorcerer, Additional Mastery Level, Mark of Slaanesh, VOTLW, 100pts (Attatched to Melee Noise Marine Unit)

Chaos Space Marines, Mark of Slaanesh, Autocannon, VOTLW, 105pts

Chaos Space Marines, Mark of Slaanesh, Autocannon, VOTLW, 105pts

Chaos Bikers, 3 Bikers, Replace 3 Bolters with Flamers, Biker Champion w/combi flamer, Mark of Slaanesh, Icon of Excess, VOTLW, 153pts

Chaos Vindicator, Dozer Blades, 125pts

Kakophoni-
Chaos Lord, Mark of Slaanesh, Bike, Lighting Claw, Power Fist, VOTLW, 140pts (Attached to Bike Unit)

Noise Marines, 8 Noise Marines, 8 Extra CCWs, Icon of Excess, Noise Champion w/Power Sword and Doom Siren, VOTLW, Attached Rhino w/Dirge Caster, 271 Points

Noise Marines, 9 Marines, Blastmaster, 8 Sonic Blasters, Icon of Excess, VOTLW, 264pts

Noise Marines, 9 Marines, Blastmaster, 8 Sonic Blasters, Icon of Excess, VOTLW, 264 Points

Cult of Destruction-
Warpsmith, Mark of Slaanesh, VOTLW, 125pts (Attached to Melee Noise Marine Unit)

Obliterator, VOTLW, Mark of Slaanesh, 71pts

Obliterator, VOTLW, Mark of Slaanesh, 71pts

Obliterator,, VOTLW, Mark of Slaanesh, 71pts

1850 Points, with compulsory Mark of Slaanesh and free VOTLW. Feel free to make any changes you like, or just general suggestions- if you just think I need a flyer or anti-air I'll find a way to work it into the list.

I kinda look at the CSMs as taxes here, and outfit them with Autocannons to serve as back line fire support and protection for the obliterators- deep striking units to take out artillery and fire support is all too common in my meta.

the csm need 10 men take 1 hvy weapon. You cant just have 5 and slap that hvy on. At 5 men they can take a spec weapon such as meltagun or plasma gun or flamer.

In the Grimdark future of DerpHammer40k, there are only dank memes!

Here are my suggestions to make it more competitive:

-I'd lose the CAD all together, but if you want to keep it:
--If you take the Icon on the bikes bring 5 otherwise I'd ditch it, I prefer the fast melta but YMMV.
--Bring the Sorcerer to Lv3 and put him on a bike to go with the others.
--As stated the Autocannons cannot be taken, grab a special weapon and throw them into rhinos.

-Instead of the CAD I would put the Kakophonii in a Rapture Battalion then you can take a Terror Pack, Raptor Talon, or a Spawn as the Aux choice

-Unless you're bringing at least one unit of 3 Oblits for the Warpsmith's ability it's mostly a waste of points. Also if you bring a unit of 3 I would take them as either Nurgle or IW for the competitive factor. (As a side note Slaanesh Oblits aren't that fluffy anyway lol, unless you convert some cool looking daemons for counts as)

-I can't really put too much imput on the Noise Marines because I myself still can't determine what is better, but you have the jist of it. Only thing I can note is that the CC squad would probably be more efficient with the min squad with just a Doom Siren in a Rhino and a meltabomb as AT in a pinch.

Also, I believe the bikers can only take two flamers, not three.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

Yeah, there were a few rules mistakes I missed. How would you kit out the CSMs? I need them in there if I want the bikers, which I really kinda feel like I need cuz this list is pretty slow and will suffer on the objective game. Also, if I were to remove the Obliterators, what would you replace them with for anti tank? Maulerfiends? Or maybe just a bunch of melta bombs?

Drop the CAD, drop the bikes. But wait. Add spawn. Everyone still gets invisibility hopefully, t5, and is still plenty fast.

For me, and this may be just me, the best part about rapture is the 4+ FNP roll. As a primarily necron player I just can't resist the urge to make my marines as survivable as my crons. You can also get a really great combo off here in the form of a lord with jump pack, raptor auxiliary, one squad is big and has the icon of excess. With i5 and assault out of deep strike you should pretty well destroy whatever you come to kill.

In 1850 not every squad can get kitted out to the nines so some squads are going to be best used and clear out then hide on objectives. These squads are min 5 man, have a rhino, and if you're feeling froggy the doom siren. S6 ap3 flamer is pretty great for the points. With i5 and that flamer they will put the hurt on any loyalist or other marine faction and although squishy if you hide well they could be quite a pain. No objective secured but with an army almost dedicated to ap3, ignores cover weapons that shouldn't be an issue. Just destroy anything that try's to camp.

Those are my thoughts
