Hello guys.
After looking for ideas on my next army I've decided to go full wolfy-wolf wolf.
This is the list I've planned for 1,000 points.
So the base of this list is the Start Collecting! Space Wolves box (as I heard this is great value I ordered it straight away).

= FORMATIONS =
+ Space Wolves Deathpack (Start Collecting! Formation) [1 Wolf Lord, 1 Grey Hunter Pack, 1 Thunderwolf Cavalry]
+ Wulfen Murderpack [2 ~ 5 units of Wulfen]

- HQ -
Wolf Lord (210 pts)
- Runic Armour
- Thunderwolf
- 2x Wolf Claws
- Melta Bombs
* Joins Thunderwolf Cavalry Pack

-TROOPS-
Grey Hunters (185 pts)
Unit of 10 Grey Hunters
- 1 Wolf Guard Leader [Combi-Melta / Melta Bombs]
- 2 Grey Hunters [Melta-guns]
- 7 Grey Hunters
* DEDICATED TRANSPORT:
- Rhino (35 pts)

- FAST ATTACK -
Thunderwolf Cavalry (230 pts)
Unit of 3 TWC
- 1 Pack Leader [Thunder Hammer / Storm Shield / Melta Bombs]
- 2 TWC [2x Wolf Claws]

- ELITES -
Wulfen Pack I (170 pts)
Unit of 5 Wulfen
- 1 Pack Leader [2x Frost Claws]
- 4 Wulfen

Wulfen Pack II (170 pts)
Unit of 5 Wulfen
- 1 Pack Leader [2x Frost Claws]
- 4 Wulfen

----------------------------------------------------------------------

1,000 points on the dot!

I think I'm quite happy with this list (Not sure how it'll work out on tabletop though)
Fast-paced and heavy-hitting on the charge is the concept I went for.
If this seems like a good start I'm off to buy my Wulfens!

Any suggestions on this list?
All tips and advice appreciated greatly.

It looks like you're off to a good start. Thunderwolves and wulfen are solid choices. Your list looks fine for lower point games but as you progress to bigger games you're going to want to kit your wulfen with a couple of storm shields to help their survivability. They will attract a lot of attention from your opponent if he knows what he's doing. Also, wolf claws are okay on the Thunderwolves but power fists and storm shields are awesome for the S10 punches.

Save points in order to equipt all your wulfen with TH/SS, axes or claws. It's certainly better run the TWC with no special weapons rather than the wulfen.

Typical and cheaper wulfen loadout is a leader with claws, two TH/SS, two axes and a model equipped with the stormfrag autolauncher.

Ditch the runic armour, melta bombs and wolf claws, maybe some GH.

Wulfen without AP2 attacks are a waste of points.

Look up the death pack formation. It's basically a wolf lord, twc cav and a unit of grey hunters, but it gives them run and charge

Ten you could take a wulfen murderpack formation.

Gives you the same army but with better benefits from the formation special rules

@crouching lictor: Thanks for the reply and insight! I will definitely have to look into different wargear options as army expands.

@Blackie: I totally forgot about the Stormfrags on the Wulfen! I'll work on the wargear for my guys once I get home! Thank you

@jonny123: At the top of the list the formations are already listed but thank you for the reply

Looks solid - have you looked into Company of the Great Wolf detachment yet?

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.

@Dakka Wolf - Not yet. Looks nice so I'll look into it once the army starts to grow

So here's the revised list guys:
Same formations (Deathpack & Wulfen Murderpack)
- HQ -
Wolf Lord (205 pts)
- Helm of Durfast
- Thunderwolf Mount
- 2x Wolf Claws
* Joins Thunderwolf Cavalry Pack

-TROOPS-
Grey Hunters (125 pts)
Unit of 5 Grey Hunters
- 1 Wolf Guard Leader [Combi-Melta]
- 1 Grey Hunters [Melta-gun / Wolf-Standard]
- 3 Grey Hunters
* DEDICATED TRANSPORT:
- Rhino (35 pts)

- FAST ATTACK -
Thunderwolf Cavalry (160 pts)
Unit of 4 TWC
- 1 Pack Leader
- 3 TWC

- ELITES -
Wulfen Pack I (236 pts)
Unit of 5 Wulfen
- 1 Pack Leader [2x Frost Claws / Stormfrag Auto-Launcher]
- 2 Wulfen [Thunder Hammer & Stormshields / Stormfrag Auto-Launcher]
- 2 Wulfen [Great Frost Axes / Stormfrag Auto-Launcher]

Wulfen Pack II (236 pts)
Unit of 5 Wulfen
- 1 Pack Leader [2x Frost Claws / Stormfrag Auto-Launcher]
- 2 Wulfen [Thunder Hammer & Stormshields / Stormfrag Auto-Launcher]
- 2 Wulfen [Great Frost Axes / Stormfrag Auto-Launcher]

So I've cut down on the Grey Hunters and wargear on the TWC, equipped the Wulfen to make them more wolf-wolf.

I can't wait to see the Wulfen in action!
