The Salamanders and Dark Angels fought shoulder to shoulder driving back the Chaos cult that had consumed the planet. Many a battle brother was lost to the fanatics rising up against the Emperor. After weeks of fighting, the Imperium of Man triumphed and crushed the cult, but the Inquisition was not happy to leave it there. To make sure the traitorous scum were wholly destroyed they declared that the population on this planet was to be expunged. The Unforgiven began to follow orders, but the Sons of Vulcan refused ... Will the Salamanders be able to stop their brothers in arms from obeying the orders of a misguided Inquisitor, or will the Sons of the Lion be able to subdue their fellow Astartes in order to accomplish the will of the Holy Ordos Hereticus? This probably confirms it: elite armies are bad at killteam. When each model lost is a significant portion of your force, weight of fire is your worst enemy. Awesome batrep as always, though!
