GW used to do even better than Made to Order for WFB! It was actually stocked in stores.. but people didn't buy it then so they got rid of it to make AoS.

Not sure which Made To Order wave you're talking about bit they don't last long. 2-3 weeks tops before they 'run out of stock'.
You may have missed it?

They most likely would've announced it on the AoS Facebook as the 40k one did so I doubt it was missed.

Probably just a lot more profitable ventures on their plate before they get around to remaking some metal fantasy models. (They might turn out to be plastic)

Might just be they lost some of the molds as I've heard happened before.

It has been a while now since they did the request on Facebook for 'Order' made to order ideas and it's been pretty quiet since then even though we'd had a period of a few months where it was reasonably quick. They are also quoted as saying made to order was a success in their half year statement so I'm surprised that things have dried up recently. Perhaps they are looking at making things more permanent (perhaps a back catalogue where they will manufacture a batch when there are enough requests?). Here's hoping they do this for Warmaster, Mordheim and the other specialist games.

"Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. " - V

I've just supported the Permanent European Union Citizenship initiative. Please do the same and spread the word!

Rhetoric in annual reports is one thing, action is another.

With no mention of another Made to Order campaign, much less items being offered, it's possible GW found it was more trouble than it was worth.

Or maybe someone higher up thinks offering old metal models distracts from the brand they're currently trying to project of plastic over-the-top models.

Or maybe whoever heads it up got sick/too busy and will get back to it sooner or later.

I'd say signs are not good if, after a grand total of 2 campaigns, we've not seen anything.

Is it possible that there might be some overlap between Made To Order and the toe-in-the-water of making updated sculpts for old miniatures, a la Slambo?

There may be some debate over the long term effect of casually reprinting various Oldhammer and not-so-Oldhammer (Gen-X-Hammer?) miniatures, particularly when their current goal is to thump out the new exaggerated aesthetic, like Kid_Kyoto mentioned.

Got nothing to base this on, but I feel like we're going to see a new range of resin white box, single miniature revamps of classic sculpts instead of Made to Order returning.

They would be incredibly dumb not to continue on this clearly very popular made to order program. I am awaiting the WFB made to order program with great anticipation, ready to blow a lot of money if they actually follow what people wanted. (mordheim, kislev, bretonnia were mentioned a lot)

Looking at the success of the last one and of prices for OOP oldhammer on ebay, I think it is safe to say I am not the only one.

They have discovered a "printing money" scheme. I think that is more of a goal for the company than "thump out new exaggerated aesthetic"

I called GW customer service yesterday and they basicly said its on the table, but currently they are too occupied to execute it. I say mostlikely, because of 40k stuff, but they will do it.

Oh yes I would buy some Questing and Grail Knights right of the bat. Also I need some slayers and dwarfs special characters. No to mention Tomb Kings.

This is Games Workshop. Are you au fait with their past?

Yes and their past selves never figured out that they had a gold mine in their old line, or in their social media power or in their customer engagement or +++.

The new GW seems to generally be on the right track though, so I have faith that they will not drop a good idea. It is probably just organizational issues with actually getting good implementation of the new idea, like herjan also says customer service said.

They did really struggle with fullfilling the last round, so they probably want to be better prepared this time
