I am looking for an interesting army to W40K. I have to choose between Imperial Guard and Sisters of Battle. You still can not decide but I prepared two lists.

Is this an army in theory, yet to be collected, or are these the models you're working with?

Strongly consider losing the Cannoness and all your plasma pistols and power swords, sadly, they're all a huge waste of points. I'd strongly consider trading the multi-melta rets for heavy bolter rets as even with celestine handing out relentless for a turn, it's not something I'd want to count on.

I'd also ditch 1 squad of seraphim since they're pretty terrible. 1 squad for celestine to run around with used to be OK, and still can be, but the second squad is definately a waste of a slot where you could have another squad of doms in an immo.

I've never been a fan of the foot blob, but I think that's more personal choice than anything and can be highly meta dependant.

I'm at the stage of choosing the army. I estimate the cost, power and meaning to her collection.
I have to determine what to buy and whether it will fall to me this army to taste.
I like the appearance of the sisters, their vibe but I also keep an eye on another army - IG. I wonder what they'll be playing better when my planned Army Guard has only slightly more models than sisters.

I second the advice switching Retributor Multi-Meltas for Heavy Bolters, and maybe more sisters in the squad. Not sure they need a transport at all, just find a firebase to occupy and shoot every turn with 36" range.

Dominions are better than Seraphim. Bump them to 6-nun squads (so you can soak a turn of fire without losing all your meltas) and let them do the drive-by on tanks and such.

I'd suggest to run your blob squad with Jacobus or not at all. It's a hard squad to maneuver on a tight table and attracts lots of long range fire and templates, especially when the rest of your stuff is mechanized, which it looks like it is. Jake's 5+ invulnerable will help them stay on the table and counterattack makes them a more dangerous tarpit. Add an extra priest to re-roll armor saves and a melee roll on the same turn. My Canoness only comes when there's a Quad Gun to fire, otherwise it's Celestine and/or Jacobus.

I agree with Drasius about stripping off all the upgrades. The Sisters upgrades worth considering are Laud Hailers on vehicles and Simulacrum in certain squads. Superiors might get a melta bomb or nothing at all. I also agree on more Dominions over any number of Seraphim.

I'd also say the only Retributers worth giving up an Exorcist for are Heavy Bolters with a Simulcrum parked somewhere safe and maybe Heavy Flamers in Rhino with an aggressive play style. Multi-meltas are hard to get into range and don't benefit from the AoF as much.

One thought: Why not do Guard and Sisters? The Castellans formation makes it easy to integrate the two. Bring some Dominions, your big blob, and maybe some mechanized objective grabbers, then add Guard artillery tanks and heavy weapons teams. That might enhance the collecting without compromising your ability to be competitive.

On collecting Sisters... be prepared to spend tons of money or do a lot of proxying or both. GW doesn't market as many poses as they used to, and the OoP stuff is hard to find and expensive on eBay. The fact that you're shopping for a whole army might save you over acquiring individual squads, though.

If you're shopping for a full army, be willing to strip down other folk's stuff. People dumping entire armies can save you tons of money over buying rare OoP models separately.

The formatting is very hard to read but my thoughts are your first list needs help, you need to focus on blobbing and take jacobus, individual immos are a waste of points and your second list is wasting about 500pts on stuff you don't need and won't use. 5 girls per immo, never take plasma pistols, CC weapons on SoB other than Celestine is silly, cannonesses suck unless you have veridyan.

Also, price is right rules for list building, even 1 point over isn't allowed at any events and is a good practice to be getting into.

According to my calculations show that the army sisters (first option) comes priced only slightly worse than the guards on this list.

6 vehicles, 62 miniatures vs 8 vehicles, 77 miniatures.

Price imperial guard is likely to decrease if I get second-hand vehicles. I bought anyway already the first figure to look at them, it will be important their aesthetics. I paint more often than I play games.

It has to be a long term project, one team every month or two. Unfortunately, as I have written I depend on the available models so sisters superior have plasma guns. Such models can now buy.
I do not want to mix together the two armies. I do not think it looks good, mainly for aesthetic reasons.

Those look like much more conventional lists... lean and mean. Not sure where they are on points at a glance. One suggestion is to maybe cut Simulacra from the Troops... the blob squad already gets an extra one from Jacobus and will auto pass both with Litanies. PE isn't the game changer that Rending can be.

With the extra points, try to buy an extra sister or two for the Retributers. As it is, they are very close to losing heavies as they take casualties. I try to run mine at 7 when I take a Simulacrum, so 2 extra wounds before I have to sacrifice. Some extra points could come from downsizing Dominions as well.

Those Dominions wont disappoint. With that many scouting ignores cover meltas, at least one Laud Hailer is advisable.

I haven't tried Veridyan yet, but I feel like she could amplify the Exorcists and the Retributers nicely.
