So Cryx don't seem like a good idea yet, so how about Everblight? Are they good? How do they play? Is the battlegroup set good? What should I know about them? Are they infantry or 'Beast heavy?

"Show me where it says that in the codex!" said Learchus.
"You know brother that I cannot." said Uriel.

The internet hivemind, based on a podcaster's playstyle, says they are a beast faction. They do beasts well, but they have solid infantry optiins such as nyss swordsmen.

They can do a little of both.
Their heavies are really good, but also expensive. Silly mistakes will make you fall behind on attrition.
They also have some good infantry. Ogrun Warspears are still nasty as hell, plus their swordsmen are cheap and efficent.

I think it's most important to pick the faction you like the look and vibe of. Whether the internet thinks it's good or not ahould be far down your priority list. At the end of the day, you're going to be putting the models on the table, so you might as well like what you see. Playstyle is adaptable, and will likely change with live patching. Factions that lie lower on the power curve can only gain from this. Either way, legion and cryx are both excellent factions with strong playstyles and visual themes.

Your going to get beat at first no matter what faction you pick. This isn't 40k where there is an instant win button, just pick one you like and go with it. Read some background info on the faction and find one you like.

I agree with the above. If you like the look of a faction, do some research onto what they're main play style is (if your a player who has played other table top games and has an idea what they like to play as a style.) most factions can play multiple styles if you like multiple different styles of play. Though alternative styles in a faction are generally very limited in options within that factions
