Usually I don't have many gaps to fill- I trim and file those suckers seriously down.
In the rare case I need to fill it, the liquid green stuff usually does the job.

Got the Sci Fi knight pretty much done. Ignore the mold lines I didn't bother cleaning. The details may not be obvious but I tried to really do a lot of blending on her clothing. Her skin, not so much...

This is Gretel and Hansel from the Infamy line. I thought they looked pretty cool. They've been sitting barely started in front of me for months. Going to change that this week.

Red Willow is a Wrath of Kings figure with very little surface detail that lost a lot in the transition from the original sculpt to the restic plastic they used. Original looked much cooler. I hate how her mask looks, because the way the shadows from the horns fall it makes her look like a cutesy clown. Still a few details on her that need to be completed.

Started the Darkoath Chieftain too.

Finished up this Raging Heroes freebie lady too.

Red Widow's mask still bugs me. I went back and did another layer of white on it, accentuated the dark spots where her eyes are, and did the rising sun looking details on her mask.
Makes her look a bit more Nasier than Shael Han, especially with that mask of hers, but if I remember my Wrath of Kings fluff I believe she studied under the Nasier before becoming some sort of wandering sword saint type.

Got a few more Wrath of Kings figures I'm trying to paint. They should show up soon.

In the meantime I finished the Grootslang!

He's in a really weird pose, and this photo does not show how large he is. He's on a 50mm base after all.
My son wanted me to paint him up nice and reptilian, so I did my best. Looks more noticeable in person.

Here's a friend of his I finished- Skin and Moans from Hordes' Grymkin faction.

He's also quite large. I painted him almost entirely in washes. That was kind of fun actually. I really liked this model, and had to purchase it as soon as I saw it.
And as Barzam has mentioned, for someone who doesn't like undead, I certainly have a fair amount of painted models that would serve as them.

Here's both models facing off against Malifaux's Lone Swordsman.

You'll notice how close they are to his base in that photo.

Plastic chompy is about the same size as both of 'em, clocking in around 70mm.

The Nightmare one is the old metal version, right? Is it even bigger? Might have to go hunt one down then.

After that Kingdom Death update I think it's back to some Pootsian Chun-Li thighed models.

Some stuff I painted over vacation and never posted.

Pictures were taken in the middle of the night under poor lighting conditions. I'll try to repost the Infinity stuff after I matte them.

Oh my God I painted an Infinity figure!

AND THEN I PAINTED ANOTHER!

Behold the random Celtos figure! Which faction does he belong to?
-the one with the kilts!

A Witchling Thrall from Malifaux. These guys are on 40mm bases too. Looking at their rules they're supposed to hulk out and really thrash the opponents, if they don't go crazy and attack your own crew first. I painted the White Speaker symbol over their eye bandages, but it's not very noticeable.

The other Thrall, same white speaker pattern, and his chains all looking like part of his skin for some reason.

My finished Darkoath Chieftain, who doesn't look a whole lot different due to the lightning since the last time I posted him. I'm happy with the results. Maybe I'll actually play the darn game some day. Still quite a bit there to take care of...

A very cropped image of Kor Kallum, from the Nasier faction of Wrath of Kings. This guy is a big one, sitting on an 80mm base. I'll get a good photo of him once he's matted down.
His hair is almost as big as his wings.

An out of focus photo of Vallenya Rhabar, a Nasier ninja hero who came with Kor Kallum.

Should have some more Kingdom Death stuff showing up that I'm working on soon!

With all the big sales that just happened, I decided to get back to painting my Wrath of Kings figures. Heck, maybe we'll even try playing it. Almost have enough Nasier painted up at this point for a smaller sized game.
Started working on a Shael Han force. Got quite a few Children in the process of being painted. Will show them off soon.

In the meantime, I started and finished Fade.

If it isn't obvious by her attire she's from Kingdom Death. Not sure if she's pregnant or it's all post baby weight, but you can see she's got her little one tucked under her cloak in her arm.
She's got some serious curves going on her.

Time to actually paint my Wrath of Kings pledge from how many years ago!

Nasier's Bloodchild is getting close to being finished. He's a regular sized guy, but he's on a 50mm base according to his game stats.
He has a funny little floating baby holding his banner for him, who I need to start painting, but I'm currently putting together a base large enough to accommodate the two of them. I'm not sure if the thing behind his head is supposed to smoke billowing from his backpack's pipes, or some sort of pony tail. I'm going to paint it as smoke unless I hear otherwise.

A Shael Han character model, Hong Yao. Looks like an Oni. Colors look like Nasier colors, but he isn't. Acquired in a trade that resulted in me getting a large Shael Han force that was HORRIBLY built that I ended up tossing. They were all built with the incorrect parts, terrible glue and cutting jobs, fused pieces under slimy piles of adhesives... it was horrid. Luckily this guy survived unscathed.

Gregorio, a Goritisi Vampire. Dude had very shallow details, and lots of plain surfaces. I probably should have done more with his robes, but eh, I have no real interest in even playing Goritsi (even though I keep painting them). I tried to make his wings look like they were made out of skin, but it doesn't show in the photo. I need to do something with his shoes too. They're boring.

Shael Han's "The Children." Or at least two more that I got painted. They all arrived with broken weapons. I have no idea if any have the correct ones.

Guy on the left was built completely wrong. Wrong head, mechanical arm is put together backwards, he was missing his flesh arm from the elbow down somehow... so green stuff and a spare Morghast blade later, he seems good to go. Need something on that blue blade though, it's very simple and plain.

Funny thing- as is typical of me, not a single one of them matches, be it pose or paint choices. On the poses, if that's intentional that they're all different, Privateer ought to take a lesson there.

All my Children hanging out together. Naturally they barely fit in the frame.

2 of the 3 Depleted, from Malifaux. They look pretty decent for expendable drug- addled wretches.

The oni are inspiring. The Shael Han character looks a lot like the Nasier character as you said. Amazing job saving that one misassembled oni.

I still haven't finished the last of the Depleted yet. Was going to start working on the Illuminated, which are the pumped up versions of them with crazy biorganic weapon attachments. Looking at them makes me wish we'd see some sort of tabletop kaiju/kaijin/ Guyver style skirmish game.

I've been steadily trying to get my Wrath of Kings pledge from a million years ago finished.

Bloodchild is done, complete with herald hanging out on his massive base. Decided to stick a fireball nearby due to him being able to use ranged "elemental blasts" attacks, and is one of the few units in the game that has access to ranged attacks.

A Pelgarth Brute on the left showing off his fabulous body, in comparison to the weaksauce beta Ashmen. Both are from House Nasier. The Brute however is not from the Kickstarter, but was one of the impossible to find at retail later releases.

Three more Nasier Ashmen finished. The Ashmen are the Nasier basic infantry, and act like glass cannons when it comes to combat. Still need to do their bases, and a little bit more with the standard bearer, but they're just about finished.

I find it amusing that for a skirmish game, most figures use the same basic body, with arm and weapon variations that make them look substantially different. There are at least 2 more Ashmen poses I can recall off the top of my head, possibly more. That's not even counting unit leaders or commanders, which are completely different models. Odd that CMON can get 5 or 6 poses per unit, whereas Privateer can barely manage 2. Very odd.

Not gonna lie, but I'd love a Guyver-esque skirmish / duel game.

Guyver just doesn't get enough love these days, despite Takaya still chugging along with new volumes.

For whatever reason I was hellbent on getting more Wrath of Kings figures finished. Focused on characters, but started painting blocks of infantry for the Nasier as well.

First up, Alyana Heska, a character leader for the Nasier's Ashmen.

Probably need to do a bit more work to differentiate her scarf behind her from her actual clothes. Figure looks very flat if it weren't for her giant horns and spikes everywhere.

Next up is Elsis Tagil, the character leader for the Pelgarth (scantily clad thick women) for the Nasier.

I started her ages ago, got pissed out how sloppy I was, and shelved her since the original Kickstarter delivered. Came back and I'm much more satisfied with what I produced.

Only thing is I'm not sure how to highlight the yellow pieces. I wanted to do something besides gold (because that's Shael Han's thing) but I don't know what to go over them with. Suggestions?

Speaking of Shael Han, I got one of their heroes done- Madam Mui.

She's a bit plain looking currently. She's supposed to have her head tattooed all up. Maybe I'll do that still. Irritated how plain and smooth her technological parts are. Her dress is absolutely ridiculous too with the center of it just being completely open.

Some Nasier infantry leaders now- the Ashmen Hakar!

and his friend, with a different weapon loadout.

Time for another random Bones guy! Wife complained he looks like he's wearing a bathrobe.

Points at least for not making him yet another white guy. Still wish Reaper would do some proper wuxia style heroes in Bones.

Also got that last Depleted done. Time for the Illuminated now.

Dude's just all kinds of messed up. Perhaps some aspirin will help clear it up?

Another random Malifaux figure- Mei Feng's Emberling totem.

Not super exciting to look at, but I tried to use a lot of oranges, reds, and browns on him to get him looking fiery... hopefully.

Once again, I feel that Depleted is the best of the batch.

The Emberling seems to "flat" in color, compared to the artwork which is more black (and red) vs yellow (and orange).

In Wyrd's defense, the models was one of the early transitional phase plastics when they were just starting to switch over and every model had those crazy elongated limbs.

I tried originally with a black base but I can't pull it off well. Ought to try practicing something similar on those Shadow of Brimstone lava men.

Man what a busy week.

I think I was actually in the close for an entire day this week. Between trainings, IEPs, jury duty, seminars, and union duties, it's been a bit busy.

Haven't had much time to paint. Did manage to get started on some Nasier characters and specialists for Wrath of Kings. Arkanauts were included for a sense of scale- they were the only thing handy that was on something smaller than a 40mm base.

Arkan Thesh here is probably the farthest along. He's a character leader for the Fel Warriors of the Nasier, who are the more bestial looking ones. This figure was actually thrown away TWICE out of frustration. His horns were broken, his torso didn't fit, and his arms and hammer didn't line up AT ALL. At least his wings worked out alright.

I persevered and put him into relatively decent tabletop level work. He's not finished yet, but he's getting there. His base is done at least. I think I still have at least one of his horns. Maybe we'll put it on the center of his helmet.

Next up is Shadrus Arikim, a specialist character for the Nasier as well. The artwork has his mane the same color as his skin, but I'm not liking it. Probably will do it grey similar to all my ogres. Still need highlights and his feet finished.

Shadrus and Arkan...

Plus their friend the Greathorn. Kind of wishing with all the Wrath of Kings craziness I purchased I had grabbed another. His base is just too gigantic though, but considering what a beast he is in combat, it's kind of fair to let him get ganged up on.

He's probably the least farthest along, but also the simplest in terms of colors.

Not pictured is the Imperial Knight that finally got primed....

Star Saga came, and seems to have too many figures. At least it seems that way. So rather than count what I've got, I decided to start painting it instead.

I even finished one of the new plague guys.

Damn you Inquisitor and your esoteric references that I must needlessly google!

Got something I haven't even SEEN on the Internet yet.

These are the female and male Silence figures. Obviously from Kingdom Death. They were available in a limited multi "naked" pack on Black Friday, which meant they came with no cards, boxes, or anything else other than a base to put them on.
That also meant they came with no fluff that I can recall, and they've since disappeared from the web store's catalog of sold out models.

So building them was an experience. Both of their robes were at least five parts, and all the details underneath were sculpted, so naturally I had to paint all that. Trying to figure out where their swords went was fun. I ended up finding the Black Friday email the store sent out, tried zooming it in on my phone, and went from there.

The female's chest piece was also a pain too, as each breast has a separate attachment to it that needed to fit within the confines of the robe.

I really like them, especially the female version.

The thing is, are they really male or female? Astute eyes will notice they've got the gender swap belt on from the pinups of death box. Could be an either/ or case. Regardless they're dressed a lot more opulently than the average survivor.

Time to attempt the forge priest and the storm knight now!
