I've been thinking about getting the undead elite army set from mantic which consists mostly of cavalry. I've already got a sizeable orc army from mantic and I know that while they look better in reality than on pictures I'm wary of the pre-painting preparation process (mould lines spedifically). Is there someone that have assembled the undead cavalry models (revenant and soulreaver), wraiths and the vampire hero and can answer the following questions.

For Revenant knights, Soul reaver cavalry, wraiths and the vampire heroine - Illona:

1. Do the mould lines run across a particular plane like the saggital one? (bottom-up, running from the feet to the head right between the eyes)
2. Are there mould lines that are impossible to handle (like lines running in deep recesses). I had an older gore rider set that was almost completely free from mould lines and recently I got another one and it was a much worse case - some were impossible to reach with a scalpel.

Thanks in advance.

I've got the elite army on order, waiting for it to ship. I'll let you know how I get on with them.

I've already done 10 revenant cavalry from the mega force set. I didn't have any problems dealing with the mould lines, although I have to say they were the least impressive models out of what's in the mega force. Still perfectly acceptable, just a bit lacking in detail I thought.

I'm not massively anal about mould lines, I tend to just file away the really visible stuff after assembly (I always fully assemble prior to undercoating, even cavalry and large models). That said, I don't recall there being an inordinate amount of prep to do on the revenant cav, but I'll pay more attention with the elite army bundle when it comes and let you know.
