Cheesy 70s Sci Fi anyone ?

Loved Blakes 7 as a kid and as soon as I saw these fantastic figures I knew they would end up in the collection.

I don't even think the series made it out of the UK but the cheap sets and dodgy effects were brushed aside by the great characters and their ambiguous morals.

Always a struggle for a historical Gamer/ painter like me who is used to working in batches of 6 to 10 Figs at a time. Painting minis in ones always seems a bit weird.

I really enjoyed doing these though and have the bad guys (and girls) of the Federation to paint and then my first go at 7tv will be had.

Sure you probably know but if not

These are from the Future Freedom fighters range from Crooked Dice. They also used to do a Sevalan figure and the Federation troopers.

The range was part of their rxcellent 7tv rulesset but this has since moved to 2nd edition and these fifures do not feature on their site - might be worth a call/ anywaty CP Models do have very servicable Federation troops .

I recommend 7tv as a set of rules, yje 1st edition pdf is freeatCrooked Dice and you might still be avble to get the character cards etc.

By the way nice painting on the ones above

The company Crooked Dice has now effectively split in two. A new company called Beast in the Broch will produce these figures again. I've finished the Federation figures recently and will post when I have photos.

It didn't run on commercial television, but both of the local PBS stations picked it up at various times over the years. I've got the DVDs (bootleg, as the US didn't get a DVD release) and watch them from time to time. I'm going to have to pick those models up, now that I know they exist. Thanks for posting this.
