Hello. Brand new 40k player here, fell in love with the Sanguinary Guard and the lore behind the tale of the noble Primarch, Sanguinius. I wonder, is it possible to field a tournament-contingent army using only Sanguinary Guard models, led by Dante? Tactically it may seem weak, but in reality is it possible?

Hello and welcone to dakka. Besides the formations even if you used a normal CAD you would still be required to take 2 sets of troops since the sang gaurd is elites and most you couod take is 4 sets plus an HQ on top of that. Unless your doing some kinda house rules or a writen up fluffy campaign.
