A few questions...
Whilst Cadia is destroyed. Do the Cadian Shock Troops get the news while on assignment in other parts of the Imperium? Does this make them less effective or fight even harder. And also, is there enough of them to form their own colony somewhere else called "Cadia Secundum." Thanks in advance.

The strangest part is after the dust settle on the story ark of book 3, it does seems to be huge victory for the Imperium. Most Cadian Regiments are indeed deployed outside of Cadia are probably still fighting.

Cadia was just destroyed. Most of the Imperium doesnt know. What use would it be to tell the common folk that the empire's second best defended planet was just obliterated and now the largest enemy force in 10,000 years is freely moving across the galaxy?

Then comes along the frakking Spinosaurus who kills the T-rex, and the movie says "LOVE THIS NOW! HE IS BETTER" But...in your heart, you love the T-rex, who shouldn't have lost to no stupid Spinosaurus. So you hate the movie. And refuse to love the Spinosaurus because it is a hamfisted attempt at taking what you loved, making it TREX +++ and trying to sell you it.

Was the Cadian system entirely destroyed or just the planet?

Cadia Prime was destroyed, but Cadia Prime served as the 'lynch pin' of all the defense in Cadia. It is implied that the entire system has fallen to chaos.

I would imagine Cadians would actually be encouraged to hear that Cadia went down fighting. Remember, chaos took some very heavy losses too, including one of the blackstone fortresses.
On my newly painted Warhound Titan I wrote the latin words "Memini Cadia" or "Remember Cadia" on the scrollwork. Kinda like "Remember the Alamo", but in 40k.

I could also see Cadian regiments adopting "Cadia stands" as a warcry. based off the idea that "planet blowed up or no, so long as THEY stand, Cadia stands"
