In now way shape or from do I represent these guys...just thought it was cool

Wondering if anyone's seen it yet, INCREDIBLY cheap for the price (and quality actually) perfect for terrain printing and that ilk

Starts at $199 USD, kickstarter opens March 14.

It looks like it actualy prints smooth. The few 3d printed items I have seen are usually quite rough and require more work to get smooth than they are worth. I have some obj markers a friend ordered and hooked me up with and they are cool but not terrain texture. I am very interested in this.

There is no way those sample pics aren't cleaned up samples. 50 microns (which is what they're saying is the best print resolution) still leaves visible striations, particularly from a spool printer.

At 50micron there will be a lot of clean up and detail will go out of the window somewhat.

Would it be worth it for CNC and Engraving? Not sure about that. Being 3 in one would probably see some sacrifices against even entry level single purpose machines.

It's a relatively expensive toy really.
