Sometimes, people are negative, and I think it's a good idea to be positive when it's deserved. This is a nice forum-you guys deserve appreciation!

I agree. Soooo much good hobby advice on here and so many inspirational hobby blogs, conversions and paint jobs. Most people on here have good, productive advice and are pretty polite.

But sometimes I am frustrated that I post something that I think is pretty cool (such as some painted models or a battle report) and only get one or two comments. I try to comment on as many posts as I can, especially if something's been up a few days and doesn't have any/many comments.

With an active forum, new and updated posts slide off the "recent threads" page pretty fast. Or Maybe the content just doesn't interest them. Not everyone has time to comment on everything. Don't stress about it.

I find this site to be 100x better than warseer in both quality of postings and people not getting perma banned for having stink eye.

I really enjoy dakka. There are some people i disagree with but discussions are fun and i would rather have interesting discussions. As noted lots of ideas get tossed around here. Lots of solid advice. A good community.

Agreed. I love this forum.

Dakka has been home for the past 6 years, since I got back into the h/Hobby.
There are areas I keep out of, but skimming through for a read or somewhere to post, there's a lot of good stuff here.

I'll add in that I'm very glad to have DakkaDakka around.

Now that I've stated something relevant, I'm really getting some vibes akin to the "I'd like to thank Dakka" thread, aka the best thread to have ever existed. See reds8n quote in sig.

If the mods didnt step in to restore order as much as they do in OT, I probably wouldn't bother trying to read anything there. I deeply appreciate their efforts to keep that subforum civil, as much as a bunch of politically charged threads can get!
