I've seen a lot of different loadouts on Razorbacks in Ironwolves and Gladius lists. Is there a consensus on whether to run TL Heavy Bolters, TL Lascannon, Assault Cannons, or Las/Plas on Razorbacks?

I plan to run the Ironwolves formation (along with either Skyhammer or some TWC and Wulfen in a CotGW detachment) with my Space Wolves until I get enough tac marines and Razorbacks to run an SM Gladius. I just picked up a couple more Razorbacks but haven't built the turrets yet, so any thoughts on the best way to run them in either or both formations?

Thanks!

Assault Cannons seem to be the most common upgrade. I like mixing those with Lascannons. Assault Cannons are meant for stuff up front, whereas the TLLC sit back. Las/Plas really only work well in Blood Angels since their Fastbacks can fire both weapons on the move.

Las plas is the best for the points followed by twinlinked assault cannon. TL HB isn't bad ether because it's free.

Leaning towards assault cannons myself, going to try to convert using the Ravenwing sprue.

It depends on what you need. Sure, spamming out high volumes of Str6 like there's no tomorrow is awesome because it's a great multi-role, but I personally find having a little extra ranged anti-tank helps.

Assault Cannons for moving forward, Lascannons for camping the back field.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Lascannons are bad in 7th ed. High volume S6 is 7th ed summarized.

depends on what you want to do. in general assault cannons are the new hotness, but if you are razorback spamming and have a few units backfield in 5 man or combat squaded then an objective secured TL lascannon razorback or 2 is/are nice to have.

I guess they are good for the occasional void shield. But otherwise, lascannons are basically garbage.

Thanks everyone! Gonna convert some lascannons into assault cannons with bitz I found and keep all the heavy bolters so I can swap between the two.
