I was initially introduced to Warhammer 40k around 1995 when I was 16, played for a couple of years with a Black Templar Space Marine army (poorly painted I might add). Found some of my old miniatures a couple days ago and decided to retake the hobby. I have a plan to turn my old Black Templar army into a Angels Eradicant Space Marine army, somewhere around 1,000 - 1,500 points and then move on to another 1,000 - 1,500 point armies. Thinking Dark Eldar (since I got some of the old miniatures that came in the starter box) and Eldar (Yme-Loc).

Welcome back! I'm also returning the hobby after many years off; it's just as addictive (and infuriating) as ever.

Best of luck with the 'redeployed' army; that's a cool and non standard choice. Common tournament size seems to be 1850, so might be best to aim for that instead of 1500.

Started playing 25 years ago. Coming back from 10 years off.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Great to be here, been looking around the site and ill probably start a thread of how my Angels Eradicant come along, there's little information on them so I will take the base image I found in the Lexicanum http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Angels_Eradicant and improvise a little. I'm hoping that with much better tools and sources for tutorials and such I can do a much better job at painting than in my early wargaming years. I will aim for the 1,850 points mark then, thanks for the advice. I'm currently in the process of strip painting my Space marines plus some I got through ebay (badly painted but a really good deal, lol).
