Hey guys, i wanted to post two lists and ask which you though would be better; or if i should use something completely different?

List 1
War cabal:
1 exalted sorcerer, mastery level 3, disc of Tzeentch, Astral grimore, Athenaen scrolls--265 pts
1 sorcerer, mark of tzeentch--75pts
1 unit of 10 rubric marines, soulreaper cannon,Rhino with dozer blades--330pts
1 unit of 5 scarab assault terminators, soulreaper cannon, hellfyre misslerack--300 pts (will ride in land raider)

Lord of the legion:
Magnus the Red--650 pts

Legion armoury:
1 chaos land raider--230pts

List 2
War cabal:
1 sorcerer, mark of Tzeentch--75pts
1 sorcerer, mark of Tzeentch--75pts
1 unit of 10 rubric marines, soulreaper cannon, melta bombs, rhino with dozer blades--335pts
1 unit of 5 scarab assault terminators, soulreaper cannon, hellfyre misslerack--300pts

Lord of the legion:
1 Exalted sorcerer, mastery level 3, disc of Tzeentch, Astral grimore, Athenaean scrolls--265pts

First off, welcome to Dakka Dakka. Secondly what do you want to do with your list? Competitve? Casual? There are some things that i have to note.

1. you cannot have two relics on one model. The exalted sorc. in both lists have the scrolls and astral. On top of that the astral makes your unit jump so they cant embark in transports (i think?)

2. for list 1, your termies have too many heavy weapons for them being an assualt unit. I think both weapons look cool but they are not good enough. I think you should invest in some power weapons or melta bombs for your other sorcerer or a dirge caster for your rhino.

3. in terms of squad size i like to go with 2x5 and not 1x10 because you get the same amount of firepower but causes more targets for your opponent.

Overall, list 1 is better since you have Magnus (he will carry most of your games) and the termies which causes a lot of target prioritization. Other than that GL

List 1 is better. I have played Wrath of Magnus stuff a lot since release and I also have the benefit of playing against someone who uses Magnus + Rehati a lot, so I know what he is capable of.

With your War Cabal having a sorcerer that is almost as expensive as the Rubric units, might as well try Sekhmet Conclave out.

If you choose to go with the first list, consider making your 2 sorcerers level 2, instead of just having one out in the breeze with level 1.

What's the point of astral grimoire if the terminators are in a raider and the rubrics are in a rhino?

I would go list 1, mainly because it feels more tzneetchy and unique but also it seems better.
However I think you would need more anti-tank weapons as it looks like you would struggle against them.
Also get rid of the astral grimoire, even if you could take it it seems pretty useless.
