This is a bit of an odd scenario so let me explain:
I am submitting 4 different lists at once, all different factions hence different threads. These are 1250 lists for a doubles tournament with RANDOM PARTNERS. I think that part alone is pretty cool, but there is another twist to go along with it.
All players are encouraged (not required) to bring and turn in lists for one “Good Guys” and one “Bad Guys” army. Once your partner is determined, decide between you which side you will be representing or which combination will work the best, but you both have to use one of the two lists you initially provided. So my example is that I have a Space Marine and an Eldar list for good guys, and a Chaos and Orks list for bad guys. I am looking for advice on all so I can determine which will be better for this type of format. I just want to be in a position that no matter which side I play for, I’m bringing my A-Game.
Alright enough background, on to the list/s.

The first one is my Chaos List. I have yet to field test this one, but like all the ones I am posting today- it looks like a lot of fun.

1250 Chaos FINAL

****KAKAPHONI****

• Lord: Mark of Slaanesh, Lightning Claw, Bike, Melta Bombs – 120
• Noise Marines: (7) 6 x Sonic Blaster, 4 x Close Combat Weapon, Doom Siren, Rhino – 201
• Noise Marines: (7) 6 x Sonic Blaster, Doom Siren, Melta Bombs, Rhino – 202
• Noise Marines: (7) 6 x Sonic Blaster, Doom Siren, Melta Bombs, Rhino - 202
• Noise Marines: (10) 2 x Blastmaster, Rhino – 275
• Noise Marines: (5) Blastmaster – 125
• Noise Marines: (5) Blastmaster – 125

This list seems like a whole bunch of fun, but not necessarily that effective. Kakaphoni is really tricky in low points but I’ve always loved Noise Marines and just had to give it a shot. I know my biggest problem is lack of armor punch, but in this formation- those Blastmaster templates are strength 9, so effectively I have 4 lascannons with a 3” area of effectiveness. They’re also strength 6 on the move, no feelings hurt there. Probably stagger movement early in the game: 2 squads on foot move while the squad in the rhino sits still, vice versa following turn. Split fire helps both guns pop the hatch and look 2 different ways.

I also know that mixing Doom Sirens and Sonic Blasters in the same squad makes it lose some of its effectiveness, but remember even 2 shots on the move at strength 5 with SHRED is no joke. And that Doom Siren pointing at a different target (when possible/necessary) at strength 6 AP 3 is equally terrible in the best way possible.

My Lord…. Is a tax in my own opinion. I wanted a Sorcerer, but the formation says “NO” so I just tried to make him not awful. Never gonna be a tank so not treating him as such.

One thought I have had running thru my head was drop a Noise Marine from 2 of the Doom Siren/Sonic Blaster Squads, and use the points to give that 3rd Doom Siren Meltabombs, and give the 10 man 2 x Blastmaster unit an Icon. FnP on a unit that size is relatively cheap.

As always, ANY and ALL feedback is welcome. Thank you for looking!

Your lord on bike running around solo is going to get picked off, give your opponent Slay the Warlord. Maybe roll him up in one of the squads to make him more survivable?

Here's to me in my sober mood,
When I ramble, sit, and think.
Here's to me in my drunken mood,
When I gamble, sin, and drink.
And when my days are over,
And from this world I pass,
I hope they bury me upside down,
So the world can kiss my ass!

Here's my idea of this list, its not good but sounds fun as hell!
Chaos Lord: 167 points.
MoS, Terminator Armour, chainfist, lightning claw, combi melta, Steed of Slaanesh.
Pretty much this guy roams around killing enemy vehicles or targets, he's built as a beast lol.
6 Squade of Noise Marines 5 men (Sonic blasters, CCW, Doom Sirens, Melta Bombs)
With 6 rhinos (Dirge castors) 1050 points.
I reccomend refining it by taking away some CCW on some squads for more power weapons on champions, if you want refine this and give your squads some more "specialities".

Blast Master is not to be trifled with when they get + 1S which makes them dangerous when you have sama strength in them as a lascannon, and that you can move and shoot with them but with slightly reduced state.

rhinos are to recommend and power weapons,

and 6 is Slaanesh holy no.

can you afford to push the little dome sirens do so .. flamers is well worth it!

for the psychic phase I say love the Cabal

Wow thank you all for the advice. Only went with the biker lord because i have the model ready to go and didnt know what else to do. Taking his bike away and sticking him with a unit of noise Marines makes the burning brand quite tempting to be honest....

Thay terminator lord sounds great but a little pricey for this point limit. Also i dont have CCW on all tje sqauds, just that one because i had 4 points leftover and thats not enough for a meltabomb.

Original plan had those siren squads at 6 (yes i remember that's their number) with power axes on the champs in 2 squads. I opted for more bodies but maybe the wrong call?

Would love the cabal plan but just dont think i can fit it in. Plus isnt that a thousand sons formation?

Thank you very much for the feedback. Will post any changes/updates when i have a chance!

Lords in Terminator armour can't take a Steed of Slaanesh

Updated list. Not a lot changed, my Blastmaster squads stayed exactly the same, just dropped a couple bodies and added Power Weapons, took my lord off his bike and intend to have him riding with the squad of 7 (first one). It seems a little counter productive to put so much stock into close combat given that ALL of this formations special rules are based on the shooting phase. But lets face it, they are designed to drive around and spew sonic nastiness on everyone until their tour bus gets wrecked (I'm going with a Heavy Metal band theme on these guys) and/or jump out when close enough for the Doom Siren to do its thing and then basically say "go ahead charge me, I'm initiative 5".

****KAKAPHONI****
• Lord: Mark of Slaanesh, Lightning Claw, Aura, Melta Bombs – 120
• Noise Marines: (7) 6 x Sonic Blaster, 4 x Close Combat Weapon, Doom Siren, Power Axe, Rhino – 201
• Noise Marines: (6) 5 x Sonic Blaster, Doom Siren, Power Weapon, Melta Bombs, Rhino – 202
• Noise Marines: (6) 6 x Sonic Blaster, Doom Siren, Power Weapon, Melta Bombs, Rhino – 202
• Noise Marines: (10) 2 x Blastmaster, Rhino – 275
• Noise Marines: (5) Blastmaster – 125
• Noise Marines: (5) Blastmaster – 125

I like where you were going with that last post, but mixing sonic weapons makes things really tricky because the Siren wants to move, the Sonic Blasters pretty much want to stay still, and the Blast masters REALLY want to stay still. Just thoughts. Thank you for the input!

Came into a few more sonic weapons and decided to adjust things accordingly. So my updated Version:

****KAKAPHONI****
• Lord: Mark of Slaanesh, Lightning Claw, Aura, Melta Bombs – 115

• Noise Marines: (8) 7 x Sonic Blaster, 2 x CCW Doom Siren, Power Axe, Rhino – 234

• Noise Marines: (8) 7 x Sonic Blaster, Doom Siren, Power Weapon, Melta Bombs, Rhino – 237

• Noise Marines: (8) 7 x Sonic Blaster, Doom Siren, Power Weapon, Melta Bombs, Rhino – 237

• Noise Marines: (6) Blastmaster, Rhino – 177

• Noise Marines: (5) Blastmaster – 125

• Noise Marines: (5) Blastmaster – 125

Shrunk the Blastmaster squad with rhino, therefore had to ditch a Blastmaster. A little sad about that, but was then able to up all 3 of my more aggressive units to 8 for more firepower and survivability.
Lord still rides along with the Power Axe squad, so unwieldy isnt as much of a problem and gets the strength bonus.
Any suggestions are welcome!
