So I'm running Chaos Chosen and was curious what mutations are the best for upgrades or should I go general skills like block or dodge?

Depends on the makeup of your league. If there are a lot of amoured teams, Orcs, Dwarves, etc, then Claw is great.

Chaos is a tough team to start with as you don't get any positionals like throwers and catchers.

We were once so close to heaven, St. Peter came out and gave us medals; declaring us "The nicest of the damned".

Block is almost always the best first skill.
First leveled beastman I usually go sure hands or extra arms.
If you get a strength up on a warrior I would go with tentacles.
Otherwise getting some claw on your list is going to be vital for your bash game.

I'm with plastictrees on almost all points, but I would suggest getting mighty blow before claw, because it increases your chances of breaking armour, and it also contributes towards getting those spp. Speaking as a bash coach (orcs mainly, but I've played Chaos and Nurgle), it gets quite tough levelling players from 3 to 4 without taking mighty blow first.
