Some time ago, I had bought the Wings of War WW2 starter set and a few planes, back when the game first came out (when the starter set had a Japanese plane in it).

Just recently, I bought a P-51 Mustang, A couple of BF-109's, a Spitfire and FW-190's - they all came with movement cards that look to be standard playing card size, instead of the smaller plane-stand sized movement cards. I also happened to buy a Helldiver, who had the smaller movement cards.

Did Ares change the movement scale recently or are these just "faster" planes than the older releases? I'm going to be a bit miffed if they have changed, as I've got quite a few planes already - if they did, is there some way to get replacement decks for the older planes?

It never ends well

the change in card size happend a long time ago from what i understand.
the cards in the new version is the same size as it is in ww1, aka small.

i do think you should invest into the new starter set, as i do not think old version of ww2 and new version is compatible.

but the only way to know for shure is for you to contact ares customer support.
