So, after seeing it played, and looking at the models, I've decided to pick up a force for Malifaux. I've got the digital rules, a fate deck, the generalist 1st wave upgrade deck, and I've picked a few models out. I've gone with Jakob Lynch's box, and also pick up Mr Graves, and some Beckoners. So, basically where do I go from here? I also want to pick up some Depleted and Mr Tannen, and further down, I like the look of both Lucius and The Dreamer. Are there any good models to get that will compliment both Lynch and one of those?

Palitine Il

Dopleganger. She brings 3 things, 4 if you're using the Gaining Grounds schemes and strategies. (And you really should be) Doesn't matter what master you play, if you're playing Neverborn she's worth her points.

1) Allows you to cheat initiative. This can really save your skin turn 3-4 when who goes first makes a big difference and things can easily go either way.

2) She can take Interact actions while engaged. You need a scheme marker inside an enemy's engagement range? She can put it there.

3) Copying attacks, get another swing from your main beater or smack your enemy with their own attack. You don't get triggers but it can be useful and allows her to be better at combat than she looks.

4) Shes an enforcer. the current Gaining Grounds is encouraging enforcers by needing henchmen or enforcers to gain VP, making Masters and Henchmen the targets of the scheme, or needing upgrades that aren't attached to a master or 0ss. There's several "enforcers" that are only worth their SS cost because they have a selection of 0ss upgrades only they can take. The Dopleganger isn't one of them.
