I'm thinking about starting two annual BFG tournaments in the UK,

Would anyone have any suggestions in which conventions to target or places to have the tournament?

for London I'm thinking Dark Sphere

and maybe Reading or Britcon for the other one

I'm open to suggestions

Basically a one day tournament
10 places available (depending on the feedback)
Game - 2 half hours
Prizes for First, Sportsmanship, best painted fleet.

I'd maybe check on a more BFG focussed forum for where in the UK doesn't have one and work back from there. I also suspect shops will be reluctant to host an unsupported game but you can only ask.

There's no BFG forum per say in the UK

I've posted in three forums (dont know if i can mention the full name here)

basically this one, SGF and TB&C and will start looking at facebook groups

I don't see why shops wont let you play BFG (obviously GW wont but Im not looking to play there)

I be more interested in conventions like Salute, Britcon, Reading where there is a wide range of tournaments being played and a high number attend
which would be good for getting players to register

So im just looking for people to make suggestions on what organisation hold annual tournaments, every suggestions will be helpful

also if they would be interested?

I know the University Student Nationals holds a similar eventfor BFG so I'm sure there would be interest.
