Yes, i know they're just barely released, but i'm not a fan. So any idea what's next? I can't find any rumors.

Thanks.

Shadowkin would be my bet.

Yep, there has been quite a lot of hints of dark elf esque models on the GW rumour engine.

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Almost certainly some sort of cthulhu sky dark aelfs if the rumors are true. If they are cool enough I might get both them and Kharadron as opposing forces to model. It means putting back my Beastclaw Raiders though.

I don't know where the cthulu idea is coming from, we've known Shadowkin are on the way for over a year (and the name has similarly been confirmed for as long) but the cthulu thing is very recent. I wouldn't expect them to be any more mythos-esque than the Shadowkin from Silver Tower at any rate.

I think it goes back to people associating anything to do with "old gods" or tentacled horrors with "Lovecraftian". While those are definitely themes Lovecraft explored, that's really just a surface understanding of what he was saying.

I think when people say Cthulhu style ones probably more visually inspired than lore, but I'm not the guy who can say. Since I think the one shadowkin model we have (from a boardgame release) has them standing on a small tentacle which corroborates rumors.

The second largest piece of evidence is in one of the Kharadron videos from awhile back (might have been when they were previewed way back) had a picture of one of their ports and their ships at rest and there was some sort of tentacled monstrosity out of view in the clouds but its tentacles were sneakily wrapping around the hulls of their vessels.

Also hastings said they were coming as well, but turned out to be wrong when they didn't get previewed at the event. So I have no idea if his rumors on them are wrong or not. He has a fairly reliable track record, but even hastings has gotten things wrong.

I would imagine that the "dark elf" in the Silver Tower set that is jumping off the tentacle is only jumping off that tentacle because it's a chaos-y theme for Tzeentch, not anything to do with that Shadowshard itself.

I believe the Cthulu-idea came from the recent Overlords art that had the sky-ships being attacked my a large tentacled beast, so someone just made that odd leap.

I'm hoping for more Death or Destruction models, since Gork knows there's enough Order that's been released lately.

I think the Death Guard may be further out than people realize. They haven't gotten anywhere near the fanfare that the Kharadron got in the lead-up to release. Remember the last marked legion release (Thousand Sons)? We were getting previews and "leaks" for about two months before we finally saw them on the webstore. Thus far, all we've seen of Death Guard is the Adepticon (or was it GAMA?) teaser video.

From what GW has said on Facebook and a couple other places, we have two more weeks of Kharadron releases. After that? Not really sure, but I'm expecting to hear more info on GHB2 any time now.

The tentacles in the Kharadron art are a harkraken as I recall, also it's taking place at high altitude in the realm of metal. There are certainly themes of dark secrets and madness-inducing illusions with the Shadowkin (see the Mistweaver among other tidbits) but I don't think its beyond the traditional shadowfolk-and-trickery fantasy trope.

I don't know, is there a worse pun out there to make than Kharadron Overlords?

Doesn't sound like a Pun to me. Are you trying to be funny or make a jab? Because you're failing the first and the second is kind of out of place in this thread.

On topic, It'll likely be the Shadowkin for AoS. In the Grand Scheme, likely Nurgle Marines as others have stated.

There seems to be hints about dark elves, and the nautical rumor engine pics seem to point towards that. There have been leaked 40k images for Death Guard, so it's not inconceivable that the long awaited Greater Unclean One resculpt would be released in conjunction with them. If that happens it wouldn't be a stretch for a demons/rot bringers combo book alla the Khorne and Tzeentch books.

Frankly I hope that Death gets something, as they have had all of one battle tome released since day 1. I also would like a combo Orruk book just like the stormcast/chaos books. This could take care of Greenskins and bring Ironjaws and Bonesplitterz up to date as well.

Overlords. Because they are in the sky, over the normal folk. Get it?

Kharadron Overlords, lords who are literally over people because they're in the sky.

As for the rest-- Eh? I like the faction and find them to be the best AoS release so far. But it dawned on me recently how the name was such an awful pun.

You know, I hadn't considered the possibility of a combined Orruk battletome, but damned if that wouldn't be awesome!

Possibly of note, but BoLS posted a "rumor" today that Death Guard weren't coming until Q4. Note that this is BoLS posting a rumor from Faeit, so the take with lethal doses of salt. I don't know that they would actually preview the models that far in advance, so I'm dubious, but it does support my theory the DG are further out than people are expecting.

I think it will basically be a double release with 40K nurgle, followed by our new hentai elf underlords. (which don't get me wrong- Despite really liking to make fun of the concept Im trally excited forr them!).

The longet term has rumours of Skaven and perhaps the more unique warbands in underwords will get boxes (like the mew undead for example.)

But ovet all I'm sure Slaanesh is coming. Id hooe this year, but perhaps more likely next Im looking forward to it rebirth. They dtopped Fulgrim by name as wanting to trash Guilliman, and Im sure when he's released its going to be ad big if not bigger event as Tzaanuary was.

Taking this news with a grain of salt since the FAQ has the 40K 8th BRB dropping sometime in the next month or so. Since they are running big right now over in the 40K universe the anticipated launch of the primaris marines and DG, we could see both of those drop with maybe, just maybe, a AoS update in the middle. More than likely it will be Chaos, possibe the DE are gonna get some love, but Destruction & Death friends don't hold your collective breaths, don't see any updates for you guys for a little while. But this is GW and they like to tease and then disappoint

Death guard are in the 40k starter set which should be released in June. July being the 7th month I thought would make sense for a nurgle release. Seeing as how they wouldn't need more then a couple units (pestigors or some sort of plague zombie /chaff unit???) and an updated battle tone
