Been out of the hobby for a while only to find that when I return to it. Games workshop have got rid of my beloved fantasy game and replace it with something vile. That's my opinion anyway after having tried to pick it up. So with that me and my friends have decided to do a mordheim campaign and I just wanted to share my first hobgoblin. Would really appreciate any feedback. It's been a while since I've painted or converted. Thanks in advance

Very nice! Great choice of colours, base, and overall a lovely model. I like how you've got those muted tones without it looking dull. May I ask how you achieved the yellow? It's not the easiest colour to get right I'm sure you'll agree...

It's good to see a Goblin with a warmer palette. They're fantastic sculpts and quite versatile outside the normal green, with a nice red I've been thinking they'd make excellent Daemon conversions.

I'm also getting back into the hobby after a long time away. I don't hate Age of Sigmar, but I share your disappointment that the old setting is gone. I think it's tragic that Warhammer has lost that 'smallness', and we know Warhammer as an over the top game, but AoS seems to be trying to go too big and grand and epic and loses some of the character that made Warhammer what it is, and while there are great new models, many of them are quite generic. Especially that new race, the steampunk dwarf looking ones, could've come from any fantasy game and are far too drab and serious- I'm not seeing that trademark Warhammer craziness and weirdness. I'm a 40k player and I miss how Warhammer went a bit smaller than 40k, like you could have a huge battle with massed armies or you could have a skirmish with Beastmen in some dark corner of the woods. Not everything is the fate of the world hanging in the balance.

Also my beloved Slaanesh. Why. Guy/girl cannot get a good deal these days

Ok, got a bit rambly there, but I want to say again, great job on this.
